virginia (+6) 3 units. on the surface, it looks like they're begging you to take duke. according to the sagarin ratings, duke should be laying 10. but look a little closer at duke's last 3 road games. they lost 2 straight to wake and miami, and needed a late rally to beat nc st by a point. for whatever reason, this team is suddenly struggling on the road. oh, and there may be a little look-ahead factor for the blue devils. in case you hadn't heard, they play north carolina this saturday. you may be able to find it on tv. on the other hand, the cavs are playing a little better recently, covering 5 straight games. sean singletary on senior night... he needs to have a big night tonight.
la salle (+9.5) 2 units. what can i say about the explorers on the road that i haven't already said? nothing, i'll just update the numbers... they are now 8-0-1 ATS on the road. 6-0 in conference. in fact, they are 5-1 straight up on the road in conference, with their only loss at xavier.
mississippi st (+4) 2 units. the bulldogs have covered 4 of their last 5 visits to vandy. they've won and covered 3 of their last 4 road games, with the only loss at in-state rival mississippi. (side note... the gin is really starting to kick in) biggest reason for concern... the bulldogs have wrapped up the #1 seed in the west. anyways... mr oglivy, meet mr varnado.
