as inconsistent as demptster has been, still think its a little much for cook to be laying this price. he's been hit or miss so far in his career. pretty good stuff, but has a tendency to put a lot of runner on base. reds really were lame on tuesday. dempster is no prize- but still think he outduels cook. could be a war of attrition. the starter that lasts 5 innings may very well pick up the win.
tigers. as much as id love to list the positives and say what a great spot this is for them- i couldnt do it with a straight face. theres no positives to the tigers. theyve proven they can lose at home or on the road. by 1 or by 11. they dont discriminate. but i still like maroth here. i guess hes the tigers de facto ace, and im a sucker for ugly dogs. give me the kittens plus a buck thirty
fathers stand out as a pretty good play. perez and benson is a good pitching matchup. but i like the pads at home here. pirates hit eaton surprisingly well on tuesday, but the lefty should give e some trouble. with kotsay back for the fathers- that gives em some much needed offense from the 2-hole.
