matchup in cleveland features each teams future ace. both teams threw their gas cans out there in the first two games of the series and both games went over. now its time for the tigers and indians to play the 3-2 type game expected of these teams. sabathia has been unhittable at home lately, and bonderman can hold his own as long as he avoids the big inning.
rockies probably should have won the opener of the series last night. but in typical rockies fashion, the bullpen imploded and ruined a great- if unexpected- outing by darren oliver. even though ishii is a lefty and the rockies main offense (helton/walker) is left-handed, its just so hard to justify kaz as a 180-ish chalk because he is so susceptible to control problems. when he gets that curve over consistently and pitches from ahead, then its impossible to beat him. but i think if the rocks are just patient and make him work, they can get a lot of baserunners via the walk and can do some damage.
