kansas city (+139) with jimmy gobble
pitt/atl under 7 (+100) with perez and ortiz
tampa has come back to reality and should not be laying this kind of chalk. in limited action vs. tampa bay, jimmy gobble has dominated: 12+ innings pitched with just 1 run allowed. royals mailed the season in a long time ago, but still cant pass up this chance against an overpriced tampa club. yeah theyre better than theyve been, but not good enough to lay over 150.
perez has been nastly over the last month with 44 strikeouts in his last 32 innings. ortiz is ortiz. he is just a reliable pitcher who finds ways to get it done and win. only thing that scares me about ortiz is his strikeout to walk ratio that last month or so. 27 strikeouts and 21 walks. not terrible, but like to see it around 2:1. nonetheless, atlanta and pittsburgh are good under teams and im going under 7
