thank for nothing ball state. up by 3 with 17:00 to go, getting 14.5......and lose by 20.

again, its early in the season so dont want to get nuts. but here's another one im hittin hard.

providence friars (+8.5)
providence friars moneyline (+320)

ive got some future tickets on wake forest to win the national championship at 10/1. theyre damn good. but this line is stupid. providence is familiar with the garden setting. wake laying these kinds of pts on a neutral court (and one which will probably be pro-friars) is dangerous. wake didnt play particularly well their last trip to msg. could be deja vu.

good luck g and nice call on Toledo ...What do you think of Ill Chicago laying 1.5 at BG. I know you are the MAC man so I thought maybe you had some input on this battle. Thanks and I will prob tail you with Providence. GL

I concur.. However, I am worried about the Paul v. Mcgrath matchup... Early on PC was playing zone, but Welsh switched to man man and they've blown out two straight opponents.. Curious to see what they come out in...

rex:

i am so pissed at the way this schedule sets up for illinois-chicago. if this game was not set up the way it is, id be all over uic. theyre the better team. but no way do i lay points with the flames 48 hours after they lost a heartbreaker to #3 georgia tech at home. flames played their asses off and almost pulled off the outright upset. mark my words: bg will struggle this year and be a great go-against when conference starts. they have no reliable scorer. theyre extremely well-coached, but dakich doesnt have a lot to work with. but i cant comfortably lay any pts with uic given the scheduling spot.

Since absolutely nobody asked for my opinion on the BG game I feel compelled to chime in.

I am playing BG today. UIC is clearly the better team on paper and I cashed nicely on the flames vs. G Tech. However, as G eluded to, this is a horrible spot for them after the heartbreaking loss. They travel to arguably the toughest home floor in the MAC against arguably the best coach in the MAC. If BG can formulate a plan to slow down Banks just a bit I think that they can prevail tonight. I'm on the Falcons tonight in what I would term simply as just a situational play.

BTW: l Also really like the total on the Buckeye/ Creighton tilt tonight. Over 133 for a two unit play.
Good Luck tonight

gman,

Possible that providence gets it done with the points, I am still debating, but no way do I see them beating Wake. Providence did not look very impressive at home against Niagra, and were lucky to even win that game. They have had no competition since. Wake has just been taking it easy because they have been playing against cupcakes so far. I think Wake comes out and shows why they are number 1.

either gonna look real smart in an hour, or real stupid.

but felt this was the best game on the board tonight and am not wavering.

providence 2nd half (+2.5)
