georgetown a pretty easy winner on tuesday, as well as boston college over the total. a lot of these teams are simply eschewing defense in this tourney. played this for wednesday:
2 units....illinois-chicago (+5) over western michigan
1 unit......georgia tech (-7.5) over ohio state
(ADDING) hawaii (+8.5) for a unit
flames should win the game outright here. both teams very similar, and have good guard play. but uic should advance in the tourney.
ohio state is in a brutal spot. playing their 5th game in just 7 days. and the buckeyes, who were already depleted, just suspended williams for the rest of the season yesterday. his suspension should only be for 1 game, because- well, ohio state aint winning here. even though im not a big ohio state fan, i gotta give credit where credit is due- and brent darby is just a freakin warrior. hes flat out carried them this year, but it wont be nearly enough tonight imo. acc has the strongest home court in the country, further lessening osu's chances. bucks made an impressive, gutty effort in chicago last week. but i just dont see anything left in the tank. they have no depth, have been depleted by injuries all year, and now gotta travel to atlanta just days after playing 4 in 4 nights in chicago. as hard as it is to play nit chalk, tech should dominate this game
also looking strong at vegas/hawaii over the total. vegas qualifies for an nit over system that ive had good success with in recent years.
