Anyone think Kovalchuk will play tomorrow against the Canadiens? Montreal has a pretty tough schedule so far, this will be their 2nd B2B already.

Three days after agreeing to terms with the Thrashers on a five-year, $32-million contract, Kovalchuk was back on the ice with his Atlanta teammates. The 22-year-old Russian forward has not yet obtained a work visa from the Immigration and Naturalization Service, leaving his playing status in limbo.

Kovalchuk OK to play

The Immigration and Naturalization today informed Thrashers general manager Don Waddell that Ilya Kovalchuk's work visa has been successfully processed, meaning that the left wing can play in tomorrow night's home game against Montreal.

I've read that Danis is starting for the Habs but will check before gametime.

Hate the overwhelming majority but Thrashers sure look good tonight.
