Race 1: #9 Concept...15/1 morning line

The 4 and 9 seem to be the only two who are going to go all out straight from the get go. Think the 9 is a little more rested than the 4 and could be at the front over a track usually favoring speed. Even if it doesn't win, hopefully a piece at odds over 10/1 will be a nice return.

late scratch of the other half of the entry I think...means Concept gets the outside post with nobody to his right now...should be easier to clear the inside horses and get up on the lead 9/1 with a minute to post......of course this could be all for nothing and finishes off the board, which is usually the case.

well thats what happens when you give an uncontested lead, even though got caught just barely at the end....and the 1A didnt scratch, which looking at the tote online said it did. :shrug:



Race 3- Street Ballad #8

love this sire, and this one gets Lasix for the first time today. another longshot but could hit board at a price as this trainer has high success with 1st time lasix. A more wide open race than the morning lines suggest in my opinion and definitely wouldn't back Superstella at 2/1....coule win sure, but 2/1 I am looking for value elsewhere.


Race 4- Zero Yield #7

A lot of questions in this race, lots of runners who have never touched the turf. Am going with a top jockey and a top trainer who is very good at turf and claimers dropping in class. Hopefully this one gets overlooked as it doesnt show too much on paper, but has a turf start under her belt. Wide open race so shouldnt be too many short prices.
