good evening and welcome to humpday.picked up a nice win last night with the sonics.i have been torn between 2 picks for the last couple of hours.the spurs game and the wizards-bulls.when the dust cleared it was the spurs game i decided to go with.game 1 went to the nuggets 93-87 in a stunner on the spurs home court.the spurs were a 8.5 point favorite and were 38-3 on there home court this season.high scorers, for the spurs ginobili 23 and for denver miller 31(miller wont get more then 15 tonight).the spurs had a 9 point lead in the first half and it was tied 52 all at the half.spurs jumped out to a quick 5 point with 10 minutes to go in the game and thats where it ended for them.they only scored 12 fourth quarter points, they made there first 3 shots and missed 17 in a row(ouch).the spurs shot 4-21 in the fourth and duncan was 0-7.take all that into consideration and they were only down by 1 ,85-84 in the final 2 minutes.yes, the nuggets are playing great ball 25-4 last 29 thats solid.i look for the spurs to clamp down on the defense tonight, they are ranked 1st in the league in defense 88.4 and only give up 84.2 at home (wow).duncan will better the 18 points and 15 rebounds in game 1,watch for him to come up with 30 and 20 tonight.some people might think i am crazy, but i think that the nuggets are very happy with taking away home court advantage in game 1 and they just want to get home where they have won 19 of there last 20 home games.i dont see the nuggets giving 100% tonight.i actually see them getting run out of the gym.
