CBB: 17-14 +4.59 units

Played and posted last night in a different thread:

Wichita St. -6.5 -110 x4

Line at 8 now, found one 7.5 yet. Promised to write a little something, been real busy today.

One has to applaud Friar HC Welsh, he is a rarity in CBB today. A big conference team that actually goes out on the road to play mid majors. They have played several road games over the last few seasons. I wish alot of other teams would do that, but that is a subject for some other time.

Providence is by their admission rebuilding, with 3 freshman averaging 25 mins. One sr. starter. Providence goes to Rhode Island Saturday. The Friars are undefeated, struggled a bit with Fairfield Monday. Sandwich 2nd of 3 road games, with the rivalry game Saturday.

Wichita's lone loss was to Illinois, losing in the final seconds. More experience than one would think, losing 3 seniors. Not going to say much else about the team. The reason I like this spot beyond Providence's schedule, goes back to last year. The Shockers were surprised to be passed over in the dance as 4 other MVC teams went ahead of them. After a second place conference and tournament finish. They're on a mission to win big in a situation like tonight. With the defense, rebounding and depth I've seen, believe they can get the cover.

I've got to run, no time to look at much else. I had leans on GT & Fullerton.

Nice call on the Shockers .... if they make their free throws wouldn't have had to sweat it out at the end .... glad I got in early at -7 as believe it went to 8 1/2 around gametime .... as you've said it appears Wichita State could be a team to watch. Thanks for the pick KCWolf and lets go Chiefs on Sunday!!
