Cal Irvine +2.5 -110 x3

The Anteaters return second-team all-conference performer Eric Wise, veteran guards Michael Hunter and Patrick Rembert, and the arrival of a Slovakian skyline ? 6-foot-9 Peter Simek and 6-8 Pavol Loshonsky, a pair of junior transfers from Butte Community College.

Guards Darren Moore, Derrick Strings, forward Adam Folker and center Zach Atkinson also return after posting a combined 26 starts last season.

Hopefully they learned a little something playing Texas. Like the experience against an already road weary 3 games in a row in Montana for the Lions.

I personally seen UCI play. They played my alum Concordia a few weeks ago. For those that don't know Concordia is a NAIA school (right down the street from UCI), but one the powerhouses of NAIA. Concordia control them with strong guard play. UCI can not hit a jumper and can not create much off the dribble. They have no size down low with the closest thing being Eric Wise. Concordia controlled them the entire game maintaining a led throughout. UCI try to make it close at the end and getting some favorable calls but Concordia prevailed. Keep in mind this Concordia team lost by one at UCLA the week before with a UCLA 3 pointer with 16 sec left. But Concordia controlled that game as well. Point being that you would think that both UCLA and UCI would of learned something but no. Subsequently UCLA losing to CSF and UCI getting destroyed by Texas. Put it this way when I saw the line for both CSF and UCI for those respective games I hammered it and have been smiling since.

Regarding UCI's Eric Wise...he is their best player but that's not saying much. No game and complains about every foul called or not called in his favor. I was expecting a lot from this guy and I think their program still is as well because he came in like 20 lbs lighter from last year and worked a lot on his game.

I personally would stay away from UCI and UCLA for that matter until they prove they can play. Hence the line movement, I think when the betting smarts saw that line of -2.5 they jump on it like I did. No flu going around to my knowledge they just need A LOT of time to figure it out.

GL with whatever you decide.

Thanks sfmoney, really appreciate it. I dug through every newspaper article I could find, was left with the impression they would restore the 20 game seasons again. And I also read everything I could find on LMU, and looked like they have more work to do. I probably read a book of information today on different teams. I probably got dizzy in the brain. Anyway, providing that type of info is always needed around here. Thanks.

No problem kc. I'll try to add what I know when I can. Tough sometimes with early games and still being at work. Quite a few guys I played with in college or currently in leagues and open gyms are coaches (both high school and the collegiate level). Love the game a lot and love talking shop with them.

Anyway, GL this season!!!

Glad you come on top KC. Geez neither of these teams deserved to win. LMU couldn't box out, great contesting the shot but given up easy 2nd chance put backs. UCI foul crazy putting LMU to the line with 11 min on the 2H clock.

Dunno how I missed this, Great Call. Great example of picking a play and sticking with it. I saw the Lions pounded up to 6 and thought I had a winner at -2. Then I went and bought off my Butler play because I was worried of that line and that cost me. Sorry to ramble.......Nice Play KC:toast:
