i've been treading water at best for a while now.
depaul (+13.5) 1 unit. as a general rule, any time a team that has been bad for a long time has a good season, they still struggle as a favorite. it's just a role they are not used to. depaul has covered 4 straight games, i believe, so they're still playing hard. and the johnnies or the red storm (whatever the fuck you want to call them) are at villlanova on saturday.
miami fl (+3.5) 3 units. i hate saying this, but i really love the hurricanes here. suddenly all this talk about bc getting in the tournament... really? they're 16-10 overall and 6-6 in a down acc this year. miami has struggled at home, but they've been a very good road 'dog in conference.
texas tech (+1) 2 units. strange line here. colorado "should" be favored by 3, according to sagarin. why would this be adjusted down a couple points? well, tech has actually become somewhat competitive as of late, covering 4 straight and 7 of 8 (with the only ATS loss against kansas, no shame there). and just to sweeten the deal.... colorado plays texas next.
san jose st (-1.5) 1 unit. this game "should" be a pick 'em. it opened at a pick 'em. and someone drove this up to 1.5. so i'll bite. file this under the "i think someone who knows more than i do is playing san jose" category.
