Wednesday Re-cap
Wednesday Re-cap
1. Vancouver 4 - Red Wings 3
The Wings, as I expected, didn't appear to have their "game legs" last night. Vancouver has been scratching, kicking, and fighting for every point for a month or more, while Detroit has been resting their players, trying to avoid injuries. They have also been playing bad for a month. I expect this effect to wear off after the second game, and they should win this series in 6 game. But I am thinking the Canucks have a shot to also win game #2 tomorrow.
2. San Jose 2 - Phoenix 1
Great defensive hockey game, and most everyone on the forum was on this. I see every game in this series being a re-run of this game, but Phoenix will win some games too...
3. Visitors [+2.5] - Homers 8
Extremely lucky to win this - my thinking was I needed 1 visitor to win a game - it didn't matter who. When 2 early games went into overtime the homers could not win those games by more than 2 goals. But also survived 2 games where the goaline was pulled, where an empty-netter would have killed the play...the same line [+2.5] is available tonight, but I may go with the homers -2.5...
4. Under 19.5 - 14 goals scored - probably the easist play on the board. In the playoffs, teams play a lot more defensively, and I figured we would see a couple of 2-1 type games. We got 3. It may be worth making an UNDER play on every game through-out the play-offs...just a thought...
Also parlayed, but did not post, a three teamer, all +1.5 goals, with Ottawa, Carolina, and Vancouver. Should have added Phoenix for a 4 banger.
4-0 on the evening
