3-2 Tues...

OU -3' (5)

The Convo usually is a house of horrors for the Zips. the last two trips by two good Akron teams, one NCAA and one NIT tourney team, saw the Zips get whooped by a combined 49 points. Akron's starting 2 guard, Walsh, will be back tonight after missing the ND St game with a rolled ankle but is expected to be at less than 100%.

Miami +7 (1)

Toledo -1' (1)

Rockest got destroyed at Western and the loss of Drummond is a big concern for Toledo but still think they turn the table tonight. Broncs are usually no bargain on the road.

OU First ten minutes -1 (3)
OU First half -1 (-105) (3)

DJ and the Bobcats must come out of the gates fast tonight as they did in Akron. Although the Zips came back to win fairly easily that night a very large and amped up home crowd will greatly aid the OU cause tonight.

Akron/OU over 138' (2)
These two teams hate one another so I do expect the officials to use their whistles tonight.

Buffalo/Kent St over137' (2)
Kent state team total over 72 (2)
These two scored 148 in first meeting at Buffalo and Kent tends to run more at home.

Miami/BG over 130 (1)
Just an educated guess... BG has been been more up tempo in last couple

NIU/SIU over 118' (1)
If James is near 100% I like this one a lot

Ok St/TCU under 27' first ten minutes (1)

G'Town/UConn under 28 first ten minutes (1)

S Fla/Pitt under 25' first ten minutes (1)

St.Joe/St Louis under 28' first ten minutes (2)

Mary/Gtech under 28' first ten minutes (2)

Big, big night :0corn

any thoughts on this game, FCP?

I am very close to calling Ohio as my MAC GOY!! Zips have won how many in a row? Now go into a road rival in Athens, Bobcats could be primed to run past the Zips!! Whatyathinkwillis?

Thanks!

Akron has won 18 straight

In essence, this is my MAC GOY though I prefer to not call it that and keep it low key. I have 13 units surrounding this matchup when five units has been my max bet this season on any one line. OU will be fired up beyond belief for this one and their crowd will be loud and large.

The bobcats are coming off their poorest performance of the year which I also like here as a nice set up situation. They should be mad as hell and prepared to redeem. Remember that this is the same starting five that went to the sweet 16 last year.

On the floor, it will largely be a battle of DJ Cooper and their backcourt advantage vs Akron's dominance in the paint. DJ was badly outplayed by Akron's PG Abreu in the last meeting and also should be prepared to make amends. DJ is a great player but he does seem to go awol a times. Akron will use a lot of backup PG Benntancourt against him because he defends better than Abreu but lacks his offensive abilities. so there is a trade off there.

I think it all comes down to Christian comming up with a stratagy to bridge the gap and try to keep akron from too many offensive boards and 2nd chance points in the paint. if even somewhat successful with this OU should win.

I'm not going to lie, I'll be rooting for akron at the expense of my bankroll but just think that the situation strongly favors OU at home tonight. This one will be a good one to watch and is on Fox sports ohio as well as cybercast on mac-sports.com

Good luck

Excellent synopsis/analysis on this one, FCP!!

The way Belmont handled Ohio going down the stretch Saturday has me double thinking on this one so when I set on the fence, it's best to pass on it, then I'll kick myself in the ass later with my one leg, hit the ground and say, I shouldah took them!! LOL

GL with your playz today, FCP!!

I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks, don't know if you are aware but Akron opened up the game with a 7-0 spurt. The Zips were badly outplayed from that point on...

and now a 15-0 run early in the 2nd

so much for a nice easy win with ohio....i hate betting the mac in every sport, strage shit happens all the time

I don't blame you, the MAC can be very difficult to predict. No complaints here though as I went +2.5 units on the game and the Zips keep the longest winning streak in NCAA hoops alive in a very hostile environment. I'm happy as Hell with the outcome. :tongue
