I was gonna play this even if the Quacks lost on Tuesday, but now that they've won tonite, I'm bumping this up to a strong play. Going back to the BITCH angle again, as Ana has had a real tough time playing Edm, home and away. Ana has lost their L5 in Edm, and has only one win in L9 head-to-head. The revenge factor on Ana losing 0-1 on 1/8 doesn't bother me, as Edm was playing 4th in 7 nites, coming off of a 5-5 OT game in SJ, and Ana still lost 0-1. The Quacks are also notoriously BAD in 2nd game of B2B road games the last couple of years, including 0-5-1 this yr, and 0-3 coming off of a W in the 1st game. Ana barely got by Calg on Tue, don't see it happening against Edm on Wed.

This line is ridiculous, IMHO. The injury list on LA is just lengthening by the minute, it seems like. Allison is a big questionable for this game. He skated today and wants to play, but Murray says most likely not. The heart and soul of the Kings, LaPerriere, is out after arthroscopic knee surgery and will be out 4-6 wks. All the others on the IR: Deader, Belanger, Visnovksy, Cammalleri, Belanger, Brennan and Potvin are all at least a week away. Schneider played in the NHL All-Star game on Sunday, while Huet, Barney, Corvo, Aulin played in the AHL All-Star game. The Yotes are well-rested and have double-revenge on the Kings for losing the previous 2 earlier this season.

Agree with you on the Coyotes. The Kings are really suffering and Coyotes are making a run for the playoffs. Bri?re has been a spark for Phoenix in the last 2 weeks and Abid has been filling up weel since Amonte's injury. I'm always scared of All-Star break hangover but I don't think the Coyotes are the kind of team to not take things seriously with Bob Francis behind the bench.

Cyra, definitely agree with you. Plus this kid, Bierk, has been unbelievable. I only watched 3 games that he played in, but I was very impressed with his game. He had 5 straight games allowing 1 goal each until the last game before the All-Star break where he gave up 3 to Calgary, but he was playing his 4th game in 6 nites. I hate going against my Kings, but they shouldn't be favored in this game, IMHO.

Loooooooooove Phoenix as a play tommorow. The LA Kings are
f%*&^in WAAAAAACK!! They just keep gettin the short end of the stick. Goaltending on Phoenix's side has been good. Bierk is definately a welcome addition to that team and he's been playing very well. I snatched him up quick-fast for my fantasy hockey team!! Anyways, Im wit yas on Phoenix b/c they've been playing good hockey b4 the break and I see that continuing tommorow against a bunch of struggling fairies...errrr, I mean Kings It kinda hurts me to say this but I respect Buffalo Sabres more than the Kings right now. Anyways...good luck all!!

I'd stay away from the Blues. The teams have performed very differently against top competition.

Dallas has been awesome at home against top teams this year. Against the top 10 in the league, Dallas is 7-0-2 at home, by a combined score of 36-14. And the Stars are playing as well as they have all season.

St Louis is 4-8-3 overall against the top 10, and just 2-5-1 on the road, by a score of 16-28.

I like the Stars -1.5 +154 (Canbet).

F@natic, the reason I like Edm more after Ana won last nite is because Ana does not play well in B2B games on the road, especially coming off of a "W". So since they won last nite, the chance of them winning again tonite is that much smaller, statistically speaking.

Trade, watch the Kings spank the Yotes tonite to teach me a lesson on a homer betting against them. But seriously, I don't like the Kings' chances tonite. BTW, Allison is OUT.

mw, thanks very much for the input. Gonna lay off of the Blues, but not touching Dallas, either. The Blues have been looking forward to this game more so than the Stars, and I think losing Weight will only motivate this team to play more defensive, physical hockey, something Dallas has problems with this season. Hopefully they come thru for you .
