Nice 7-2-1 nite last nite, +5.15 UNITS!

May it continue this afternoon and evening...

Very bad team playing horrible vs VERY GOOD team playing Great.... hmmmm

Sounds way too easy to me! MADURO is coming off a shutout of SEATTLE, and has pitched well vs OAK in relief stints with an ERA around 3. LIDLE, although erratic, has been very good of late, averaging 7 innings per outing and allowing 16 ER and 40 hits over seven starts. The HP UMP is fairly neutral at 14-13, but is 7-1 OVER when the line is 9, which it is today.... that makes it tough. The wind is out to right at 12 mph, which doesn't help the UNDER either. BUT, with the "real" GIAMBI out of the lineup, I'll go with the RUNLINE and UNDER here, figuring a closer game, and hoping for a 3-2 type game.

Well, it was 3-2 for awhile... too bad we don't play FIVE inning games.

TIGER mentioned it the other day, don't EXPECT bad teams to do good things... What really sucks is that I made my play in part on JASON G not being in the lineup. When I saw he was in, that didn't make me like my position very well. Granted, he ONLY hit a 2 run homer, but that was a lift I'm sure for the A's since he left yesterday's game, and to come back in his 2nd at bat and go the opposite way. It got the A's on the board and rolling. Of course, like an idiot, I play an UNDER with the BALT BP waiting in the wings to literally GIVE up any chance of that happening to add to my misery. NOW, I have to hope the O's, who have averaged like 2 runs for a month, to come up with just 6 more runs in 3 innings, and I'll get a split!
I also mentioned this UMP was 7-1 OVER in games lined at 9, so make that 8-1 now!

Oh well... there's always tonite!

PLAY OF THE DAY - SEATTLE OVER 8.5

The HP UMP Higgins is 8-2 OVER in his limited duty. His only two games to go UNDER were at 10 and 10.5, and both landed on 9. His games average 13.27 RPG, and he calls an AVERAGE

of 9 WALKS a game vs 13 K's!

After last nite's meltdown, and I see the MARINERS coming out swinging here. RUPE has been terrible on the road and it won't get better tonite. IN FACT, I am scratching my above play on TBAY +1.5 because I don't think they'll be within 5 runs tonite... This game should be in double digits by the sixth, with SEATTLE up 8-2 or more...

I look for a low scoring game here despite ANGEL HERNANDEZ being behind HP. He's generally an OVER UMP, but, when two good starters hook up, he calls a much better game it seems as his record is not as alarming when that situation is happening. I was looking to go UNDER, but if I have to lay -130, you can forget it. AZ is struggling to score any runs right now, and I don't see them doing much vs ORTIZ in SF. I like San Fran's chances to either win this game, or keep it within one. Should be a great game. SCHILLING has been vulnerable to the long ball and that may sink the UNDER!
