Utah is probably going to be a dog and I would take those pts.

UNLV usually plays tough on opening games, so that's another dog I would play.

Col St just flat out gave up last year. I know they always play Colorado tough, but I don't see them putting up much of a fight. The Buffs are the play here.

New Mex won't score a point against Oregon. Ducks are the play.

Washington has revenge on their mind, but BYU's home crowd should help. This one may be too close to call, but I'll take Wash.

TCU should beat Oregon St by at least two TDs. The Rodgers brothers could have some success, but wont' score at will. I don't think Oregon's D can stop TCU.

Yeah I can see Nebraska being up there... I thought maybe they might start out a little lower and then shoot up.

I actually like Pitt in this game... I see both teams capable of scoring, but the difference will be Pitt's D

Also like Colorado in this spot... Buffs have 15 starters returning (8 off 7 def) and Colorado wants payback

Not to sure on Oregon... Masoli is out for good and James is suspended for the opener.

Love Washington in this spot... This team will shock a lot of people...

Like TCU in this spot as well... I think the line will start out somewhere around 5 but I think it will go up. TCU will pull away late and feed of OSU TO's and win by 10+

They look pretty good Corley. Have to agree with Mr P on Nebraska. They could probably win by 70 if they wanted to.

Not so sure about LSU being favored by 6 over N Carolina...see it within 3...maybe either way...but I guess it could be 6 with the betting clout of LSU/SEC. Smells like a 9-6 game to me with 2 great D's and nothing to brag about O's.

Ooh, I could definitely see a 9-6 or 13-10 type game. LSU's offense will not be any better this year.

I hope their O is better but unless they can run the ball better it could be rough going again. They had real good receivers and backs year. It starts with those lineman.

Here are my leans if those were the lines...

Thurs

Ohio St. -26
Both teams have big games on deck, but Ohio St has one more day to prepare. I really think OSU has a lot to prove this year and Pryor will be good. Marshall was not a very good road team last year and don't think much changes this year. Ohio St 45 Marshall 10

S. Carolina -10
Really have a hard time backing USM on the road the first game of the season. USM was 1-5 on the road a year ago and returns only 3 starters on offense. Their pass game should be good with WR Brown, but USC's D will be very good again this year. USM returns 8 on D that was 80th in total D, but how improved will they be? USC returns 14 starters, 7 O 7 D. I think Garcia and Jeffery have big numbers against a pass D that was 109th last year. S. Carolina 34 S. Miss 21

USC -28
This is strictly because Hawaii is off the island and they will be out maned against USC. USC's D Line will be in the backfield a lot. USC rolls here...
USC 49 Hawaii 13

Pitt pk
Pitt has 11 starters returning, 5 O 6 D. Pitt also has 2 huge playmakers returning, Dion Lewis and Jonathon Baldwin. Pitt's D will be very very good again this year. The only ? is inexperience at QB and starting on the road. Utah will have an electric crowd. They have 10 returning starters 7 O 3 D. The offense should be good but returning 3 starters off a mediocre D from last year will hurt them here. Pitt's D will be the difference in this game. Pitt 31 Utah 26

MTSU +3
I think MTSU pulls the upset here. MTSU returns 13 starters, 7 O 6 D. I think Dasher and Co. will be good again on O this year and give the Minny D fits. Minny returns 2 starters on D. Yes 2... Minny returns 9 on offense that was 109th in Total Offense last year. So much will they be improved? I don't think it will be enough. MTSU 24 Minnesota 17

Fri

Arizona -13-
Zona definitely has the better team here, but how will the travel affect them? Toledo's D sucks... Zona will put up some points here. Toledo's Offense ranked 13th overall last year and return 6 starters. The only problem is Opelt is gone. I'll take Zona here and possibly the over. Arizona 38 Toledo 21

Sat

I'll just post my leans right now and do write up's later...
