CSU & N Carolina look like live ones..

Both had very good spring games and return a few starters from LY and transfers.

Colorado new coach and scheme, tough series between the instaters.

Thanks for sharing, Shawn!!

Some real interesting matchups Corley.

We play you guys on a Thursday night in October, maybe you guys can go to sleep on us...

Ky also draws Alabama from the West, so no favors there.

Mags out next month then 90 day count down, let's go.

Any predictions on how the SEC will go this year?

Obviously Bama haha... The East is up for grabs IMO... I personally like UGA... I think A&M and OM step back into reality this year as everyone has seen their offenses and had a year to study them... I think Tenn surprises people... MSU is hit or miss... Arky will struggle... UK will be better, but will go through some growing pains... I think Mizzou makes a bowl...

Could be a Ga/Ala rematch in SEC Championship, I think Murray has a breakout year and their rb's are some of the best for 2013-14. Bama has lots of holes to fill, but luckily they had some depth and brought in some horses and have their QB back of course. A&M Lost some key players but they have the Heisman back, which may be a jinx for them this coming fall, but that kid can't be denied, he plays balls out and KS is a good coach.

I think Fla takes a backseat this coming year. Musch shows his true colors.

Butch at UT will improve the program but it will take time. This is a whole new ball game, so to speak, for Butch having come from CMU then Cincy, now the big time in the SEC at a storied program that was very strong when Johnny Majors and Phil coached them for a few straight years, but of course, when you have Peyton Manning, Condredge Holloway and a few other QB's thru the ranks, those are teams that were made to win.

Good stuff!!

Football is only 120 days away!! Yippee!!

I think Manziel gets hurt this year... just don't see him running around like last year and not taking the big hit

Think Miss St has a good shot to beat the Cowboys also; they won't be pushed around, just have to handle the passing game.

Who knows about UGA. Offense should be one of the better in the nation, but who knows what the Defense will bring. I am cautiously optomistic and will take another flyer on them to win it all just because it will be hard for the Defense to be worse than all those draft picks they put on the field last year:facepalm: Anything under 60 and I will be playing the over in the clemson game!

Lsu will have frosh and sophs all over the field defensively after having 8 defenders drafted the other day.

The offense returns nearly everyone, but new OC and system may be out of sync early in season. Mett is sooooooo slow in all of his movements, that I question whether he can do the job.

I'll be looking into tcu at Jerry world as seasons draws near

Me to Corley and/but I can see the line move. I wouldn't want to lay more than 3 when those 2 get together. It always seems the road team really comes to play in that series. Two of the most improved teams the last 2 yrs.

I've had my doubts about him from day 1 Cie, on top of what you said have you noticed that he usually always overthrows on the deep passes.

A little on Kentucky

A little on Kentucky

Schedule Chance To Win (?)

Vs W Kentucky (Nashville) 65%

Vs Miami Ohio 70%

Vs Louisville 25%

Vs Florida 20%

At South Carolina 20%

Vs Alabama 10%

At Mississippi St 40%

Vs Alabama St 90%

Vs Missouri 50%

At Vanderbilt 40%

At Georgia 25%

Vs Tennessee 50%

Kentucky returns two experienced senior DTs in Mister Cobble (Louisville, KY) and Donte Rumph (St Matthews, SC). Rumph was injured in the spring and required shoulder surgery but is expected back this fall. Best player, Alvin Dupree (Irwinton, GA), should be playing on Sundays, was moved from LB to DE. In addition, Cats picked up highly regarded JC DE Za? Darius Smith (Greenville, AL) out of East Mississippi CC and also hired his coach, Jimmy Brumbaugh (used to play DT for Auburn I believe) to be the defensive line coach. I think this group has a lot of upside and should be the strength of the team. I don?t really know much about the back 7,but DB play should be much better; at times last year they were practically playing 3 freshman and 1 redshirt freshman. Regardless, a good front 4 should make things much better for the back 7. HC Stoops brought his DL coach D. J.Elliot along with him from Florida St to be the DC; both guys being defensive specialists should help tremendously.

There are question marks on offensive but they should be better, especially compared to how anemic they were last year. Neal Brown, former Ky receiver and Texas Tech OC last year, was nabbed by HC Stoops to run the offensive. I think it?s basically similar to what Hal Mumme did a few years back with maybe a little more emphasis on the run. If it turns out anything close to what Ky did then on offense or what Texas Tech has been doing, I would be elated. Offensive line is relatively young but has experience due to a lot of injuries last year where the younger guys were forced to play a lot. However, with this offense, it?s not like they are going to be asked to drive anyone into the ground and smother them for 5 minutes or so. A crease here, a crease there and protect the QB. Cats should be in decent shape at RB. They get back Josh Clemons (Fayetteville, GA) from a knee injury; he?s the best RB Ky has had in a long time and the backups aren?t bad. There was a 3 way battle at QB in the spring between Maxwell Smith (Granda Hills, CA), Jalen Whitlow (Prattville, AL), and PatrickTowles (Ft Thomas, KY). It appears the dual-threat Whitlow came out ahead, but I?m sure the battle will continue into the fall. Whitlow has always been dangerous with his feet but they say his passing is markedly improved. Stoops also noted that true freshman QB (enrolled in the spring) from Signal Mountain, TN, Reese Phillips, played as well as any of the QBs. So I am excited about this group. One of Kys problems over the past few years is that they have not been able to keep a starting QB healthy all year. Receiving is a question mark; I don?t think the staff feels they have enough quality receivers right now to adequately run the new offense. They do have some guys with a lot of potential and some help is on the way with incoming freshman and JC recruits; so maybe things will work out.

The schedule is brutal and then some. If ?the man? were to put out a total (for wins) on Kentucky I would guess it to be at about 4 or 4 ?. W Kentucky, Miami Ohio, and of course Alabama St are must wins. If they get the first two games, then survive (physically intact) the back to back stretch of Louisville, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi St maybe they can pick up another win or two; best chances are probably Missouri or Tennessee, since they get them at home. I don?t see them having a realistic chance at Georgia, but they may well ?cover? especially if Georgia plays Florida next.

In spite of the coaching change Kentucky had their best recruiting class in a long time and already has at least two 4-star commitments lined up for ?14; thanks mainly to in-roads made in the fertile state of Ohio. Kentucky should be improved; I just don?t know how much it will show in the schedule.

A little about Louisville; I don?t have many specifics about these guys but I?ve noticed a few things in general, one that I may have mentioned before. They are obviously well coached and as long as QB Teddy Bridgewater is there they are going to be a force, because Strong is going to make sure they are good on defense. I think they are a top 10 team at the minimum, but maybe not rated as high as they should, maybe because they don?t normally run the score up on some opponents. As an underdog, they don?t back down from anybody.

Absolutely. Was hoping to read news of his improvement over spring ball, but seems to be the same deal. The frosh dual threat qb out of Georgia, Jenkins, has impressed everyone so far. My guess is he will see some action this season and take over next season ahead of Rivers.
