My old man and I are flying out. Troy@arky st Thursday, ville@ky sat and thinking about steelers/bengals Monday

Anyone have suggestions for the trip? Restaurants, tailgate parking, etc...

Sounds like a fun trip, you guys enjoy yourselves. As far as I'm concerned Thomas, the best time to catch a Kentucky game is when Keeneland is running but the Louisville game should have a good atmosphere about it.

Absolutely. Was hoping to read news of his improvement over spring ball, but seems to be the same deal. The frosh dual threat qb out of Georgia, Jenkins, has impressed everyone so far. My guess is he will see some action this season and take over next season ahead of Rivers.

Wasn't aware of Jenkins Cie, whatever it takes to get the job done, I've always preferred a dual-threat QB.

So what do you think the line will be.

I don't know what Kys offense will do this year, especially since they will be going up against some of the top defenses in the country, but unlike past years those defenses will have to defend the whole field this year.

I don't think Tennessee is going to surprise anyone... Did they get any transfers in on defense? If not, they will get scored on like crazy all year. And that offense was nothing special.

Personally think Bama will breeze through this year due to an easy schedule and enough returning starters at key positions to still be the class of the SEC talent-wise.

Hopefully Nick Marshall can come in and take to the Malzahn system like a duck on water and we'll be competitive again. Really like the defensive philosophy EJohnson is bringing and the night and day difference in the lazy ass, apathetic, towel waving, chizik coaching staff vs. the business-like, we actually coach our players - attitude that Malzahn has brought with him. Just listening to him talk is refreshing because you can tell he actually has football sense. This staff he put together has a lot of good football minds and proven coaches, unlike our last staff that was basically a staff full of recruiters and salesmen

cruncher - I'm going to Destin this weekend... I'd LOVE some reading material! Anything out soon?

For the last few years, at least, they seem to come out around Memorial Day Weekend, so we should get our fix soon, and none to soon. Have a great trip Corley.

Phil Steele may be a litter later but Lindy's and Athlon's are usually out then.

I miss Gameplan!! That had the rosters, stats and a system to develop on your own to help you. In 1981-85, I used it religiously before even thinking about Playbook or any other mag or tip sheet and I was hitting every week in College foots. The NFL one they had out was good as well, you just had to adjust for players being released/traded, etc.

Good stuff!!

Less than 100 days now!!

I picked up Athlon's, Lindy's and Sporting News today at Barnes and Noble. No NFL stuff (just draft previews) but definitely enough for an early fix of cfb!
