Remember back after opening weekend? Its clear that quite a bit of value was to be had by not overreacting. Remember Tom Jackson telling the world on NFL Prime Time that NE letting Lawyers Milloy go was terrible and the entire Patriot team hated Bellicheck after their 31-0 loss at Buffalo? Here are some other conclusions one could've reached by overreacting to that first week:

1. Tampa is on their way back to the Super Bowl following their 17-0 win over the Eagles. Guess which team made the NFC title game?

2. Minnesota completely manhandled Green Bay in a game which had a very deceptive 30-25 final score. At the end of the season, GB was as good as any team in the NFC and the Vikes limped home 3-7 in their L10.

3. Who need Vick? The Falcons cruise past Dallas 27-13. Dallas ends up 11-5 and Atlanta has a horrible season w/out Vick and any defense.

4. San Fran is the real deal after crushing the Bears 49-7 and the Bears are the worst team in the NFL. Both teams ended up at 7-9 and the Bears were 2 two pt losses away from 9-7.

5. Nothings changed in Cincy as they are crushed by Denver 30-10. Cincy finishes at 8-8 and is one of the league's most improved teams.

6. This is the Giants year. They beat the Rams 23-13. By the end of the season, the Giants would've struggled against Rutgers.

Obviously first impressions are overrated.
