well, I learned some things watching this week to remember going forward:

1. Pitt defense simply isnt the same as years past it seems. being a local of pittsburgh, i see all their games. they struggled at times last year, although they were still very tough. with no harrison, and clark, they were picked apart. getting clark back will help some in coverage, but i dont see getting those two back making it a total turnaround. I bet the steelers often in the past cause of their defense. will wait and see more this year, but they are always a public team, and always favorites. could very easily see them being 8-8 this year, and not good ATS
AND NO PITT FANS, I AM NOT SAYING THEIR DEFENSE IS BAD, JUST POSSIBLY NOT WHAT IT WAS

2. peyton looks to be like peyton of old. denver could be very good team to play with small numbers....peyton wins, a lot, and that defense will be able to get after the passer often...

3. ravens at home are simply amazing. 8-0 last year. 18 of last 19 SU....they do not lose at baltimore...play them at home often...

4. saints are dealing with a lot. i wasnt a beleiver in the idea that all this stuff would totally limit them and change their team. well i belive it has. they have lost their edge from when coach payton was there. might be a good team to play against, if they are laying big numbers to "inferior" teams...

5. dolphins are terrible. worse then their team they fielded years ago ........i will play against my own team everyweek, to someone lighten the bllow of going 0-16....if i win money, atleast i will be able to watch...

6. niners are good. really good. better then 13-3 of last year i think.

7. indy overs....i think their d will get lit up everyweek. and andrew luck will move the ball...and turnovers for short fields...will play a lot of their overs...

8. jets. might be a good team to play against after they lit up buffalo this week. they will lay some chalk to teams and bettor will be back on the jets bandwagon....they are still mediocre at best on offense.

9. patriots are going to be covering machines with their schedule. we saw that they havent missed a step from last year, and brady and hoodie will be on a mission after how last year ended. schedule is so fawking easy..

10. oakland/chargers..........TBD

i dunno could be way off on these, but i flipped thru most of the games with the nfl ticket at my dads, and saw a lot of ball.....

A couple more:

1) Don't overread the Rams as their defense gave up 27 points even though Stafford threw three interceptions...two in the red zone. STL scored 13 points on turnovers including one defensive TD. The Rams had no turnovers and still managed to lose...Bradford did not look good and has no one to throw to.

2) Somewhat similar story in Seattle as the offense was poor...AZ does have a good defense. Seatlle got FG after the Cardinals fumbled on thier own side of the field and thei two TD's were a direct result of a long kickoff return and then a long punt return...both by Washington. I think Dallas will dominate the Seahawks.

3) You are right on the Dolphins. Their defense hung in for a while and I think once per game they will break one play but, that equates to 6-13 points a week...not enough. No sustained drives and they can't rely on another punt return.

4) I think TB is much improved on each side of the ball and will show up every week with a chance to win...they are getting eight this Sunday.

5) Anyone have any answers on what is wrong with KC?

If the "predictions thread" ,

Tampa wasone of my teams...

Said they would be above .500 in division play....1-0 thus far....they r good and have talent....a lot of talent actually....dallas clark vjax mike williams martin/blount and freeman is good....everyone forgot about em cause of last year...their defense is tough.....

As far as ur question regarding kc, who the hell knows like usual....

I've got TB in a futures bet to win the division and, separately, to be 2nd in the division. Atlanta looks good early but, they always do.

I'm not sure what happened to TB last year, other than poor coaching but, two years ago Freeman had a very good year and the team just missed the playoffs. You mentioned some of their upgrades and I like their team.

On the other hand I have KC to win over 8, win the division and get the AFC.

Maybe Pittsburgh can get a more effective balance with Mendenhall comes back but, I think you have to let Roth. throw the ball.

agree with pitt....pounding the rock and letting the D take over isnt going to be succesful this year like in years past....you have to score and throw the ball to win anymore most of the time in this league like it is now....the exception is the 49ers, but they are exceptional on the defensive side, and have more talent/depth then anyteam in the league on that side of the ball
