TCU +27 @ Olympic

Sooners down a fair bit this year and should take a few games to gell. Frogs should be able to run ball here and D should be better this year.

Hope you're right. I'll be at that game. It's hard for me to bet on my Frogs because it seems like they never cover when I do.

Only bit of inside info I have is our return guy and best WR wasn't eligible at the beginning of fall practice. There is no word yet if he will be eligible soon. Kicking game is looking better this year. Everyone is healthy.

Yes, Rodgers is cleared to play and all is good in Frogland now. The kicking scrimmage was great with Rodgers and others returning kicks. All FG's and punts are looking better this year.

I agree on taking the points--5 starters back on Off including the QB--7 on defense--47 letterman returning--Okla plays and interstate game next week--Tulsa--will want to romp them

OU may not cover the spread against TCU, but it won't have anything to do with any kind of interstate rivalry with Tulsa that doesn't exist. They could care less about a team like Tulsa who got beat 37-0 and 58-0 the only two times Stoops has played against them.

The fact that both of these games will be like warmup games and they will feel very confident winning, they will probaby play a lot of young guys (besides the young starters) to get them some experience and see who can do what.

Also, I doubt they start running up the score if they have TCU shutout, so they'll definitely be playing backups, and thats where you might have a chance.

Then again, OU does play very well at home 37-1 I believe, which goes back before Stoops even started coaching there. The 1 exception was against the in state rival OSU who scored a late touchdown in the 4th quarter that put them up 16-13.

Personally, I'll just lay off this one.

So what about your hawkeyes? I was thinking about taking them at -37.5 against Ball St, but I'm seeing it at -39 now.

With a min. of 10 game results, Ferentz has the 2nd best record of current coaches Home ATS at 27-10-1, and the #1 Best record as a favorite ATS with 23-8-1.

I think they are over rated this early in the year-Def line is young-Ball St has 6 off and 9 def starters back- some experience-but of course where only 2-9 last year--but see Ball St not scoirng alot? I am passing on the game but will look at the total. GL

Iowa play

Iowa play

There is seldom any value giving up five TDs and some change. Iowa has Iowa St. on deck and that is a fierce rivalry. I don't have a dog in this fight but almost 40 pts looks like too much wood.
Good luck what ever you do.

Sooners starting DE Larry Birdine is done for the season as of today. Stoops anounced he has torn a bicep and out 5-6 months. Stoops plays these first few games close to the vest showing nothing and working on base O & Def. (almost like a scrimage) in the sense he's trying different combonations with the lines rotations etc. Take the points.
