Beginning BR $1,000 (0-0)

Saints at Colts:

Colts -6
50.5

Team records:
New Orleans: 10-6 SU, 10-6 ATS
Indianapolis: 12-4 SU, 8-8 ATS

New Orleans most recently:
When playing in September are 6-4
When playing on turf are 6-4
After outgaining opponent are 4-6
When playing outside the division are 5-5

Indianapolis most recently:
When playing in September are 9-1
When playing on turf are 9-1
After outgaining opponent are 6-4
When playing outside the division are 9-1

A few trends to consider:
New Orleans is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games when playing Indianapolis
New Orleans is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Indianapolis
New Orleans is 7-2 ATS in its last 9 games on the road
The total has gone OVER in 4 of New Orleans's last 6 games on the road
Indianapolis is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
Indianapolis is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games at home
Indianapolis is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games at home
Indianapolis is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games

Leaning to the Colts in this one minus the points. However, I would normally play against the defending champs in the first 4-5 weeks of a new season, especially one with a high powered offense like Indy.

Not so fast:nono: . Knowing this team as I do, I can't force myself to do it. They have a lot of character and drive, and I look for them to be as determined and sharp as ever. This team is full of poised professionals and I expect a great effort.

In the end, there are just too many question marks on this new O-line, as well as the defense. Indy lost a lot of guys!

The no fun league wants to start their season off with a bang. Why else would they put the 2 most exciting O's out there to start the year? They want a shootout, plain and simple! Neither team will be able to stop the other, it just can't happen! The only way this game stays under is if the fix is on. I can't remember the last time one of these high profile games went under, it just doesn't seem to happen anymore! National spotlight, game 1, blah blah blha, they all seem to try harder.

My 'numbers' came up with 38-27 Colts. But I'm laying off the side.

I'm going over 50.5 $33/30

Good luck to all and more plays to come!

Thanks man! Had 7 winning years in a row and got hurt last 2. Changing things up completely and getting back to the fundamentals.

I will stick to tailing guys like you, Hawkeye, Titus, Fla, etc in College and concentrate on NFL.

Pit at Cle:

Pit -4.5 (85%)
37 (public under!)

Team records:
Pittsburgh: 8-8 SU, 7-8-1 ATS
Cleveland: 4-12 SU, 7-8-1 ATS

Pittsburgh most recently:
When playing in September are 5-5
When playing on grass are 6-4
After outgaining opponent are 3-7
When playing within the division are 5-5

Cleveland most recently:
When playing in September are 2-8
When playing on grass are 2-8
After outgaining opponent are 2-8
When playing within the division are 1-9

A few trends to consider:
Pittsburgh is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing Cleveland
Pittsburgh is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing on the road against Cleveland
Pittsburgh is 6-0-1 ATS in its last 7 games when playing Cleveland
Pittsburgh is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Cleveland's last 8 games at home
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Cleveland's last 6 games when playing Pittsburgh
Cleveland is 2-3-1 ATS in its last 6 games at home
Cleveland is 2-4-1 ATS in its last 7 games

How much has Cleveland improved, that is the question. I think a lot, but probably not enough to overcome the again healthy Steelers and their 'new' offense.

I came up with 23-16 Steelers, not enough to warrant a play either way. I may however, use the Steelers ML in a parlay later.

Tennessee at Jacksonville:

Jacksonville -6.5
37.5

Not many bets in yet, but so far we have a public underdog. 74% at this point on Ten. This is always an interesting phenomena. Combine Jax axing Leftwich with the Vince Young lovers and I guess that's what you get. It will be hot in Jax but both teams should be used to that.

Team records:
Tennessee: 8-8 SU, 11-5 ATS
Jacksonville: 8-8 SU, 8-8 ATS

Tennessee most recently:
When playing in September are 3-7
When playing on grass are 7-3
After being outgained are 5-5
When playing within the division are 5-5

Jacksonville most recently:
When playing in September are 7-3
When playing on grass are 5-5
After outgaining opponent are 4-6
When playing within the division are 5-5

A few trends to consider:
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Tennessee's last 5 games on the road
Tennessee is 7-1 ATS in its last 8 games
Tennessee is 6-1 SU in its last 7 games
Tennessee is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games on the road
Jacksonville is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games at home
Jacksonville is 7-2 ATS in its last 9 games at home
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Jacksonville's last 6 games
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Jacksonville's last 6 games at home

My numbers came up with a high scoring affair:shrug: and the total of 37 looks low! I have Jax eeking out a 3-6 point win, but I have this game played in the low 50's total wise. 37 is THE key number in totals, but I look for that in the early 3rd quarter. As long as these two coaches don't go conservative on me, I think it's good.

Over 37 $33/30

agent..

what are the numbers in red ?

is that the % of betting that team ?

thanks

Correct. Not a huge amount of bets in yet, and I realize Joe public hasn't made his move. But I will be noting anything over 70% on a side or total.

I worked up a high scorer here, with the Rams taking it 30-23. But I'm not so sure:nono: This just looks like one of those games that leave you scratching your head. Can't put my finger on it, call it a hunch, intuition, experience, shit for brains. But whatever it is I'm gonna bet it!

Carolina +111 $30/33
Under ?42.5? $33/30

I'm going to wait on this line to go up a little more, but it will be a play.

For some strange reason, I have had success in the past playing Eagles games. I have seemed to have a decent read on Andy Reid.

I worked up a grinder of a game 20-16 Eagles. Who knows what Favre will do?:SIB In any event, I'm playing

Under 43.5 $33/30

My original work up come out 20-19 Minnesota. But these 2 teams have changed quite a bit. What I saw of Joey Harrington under Patrino impressed me. I really like this coach! I'm gonna ride this Falcon train little in the beginning as the feel good story. I'm calling it 24-20 Atlanta. But gimme the points!

Another who knows game. Trent Green of old or old Trent Green? Miami has some serious weapons, but will they use them? In no way shape, or form can I bring myself to bet on Washington. :nono: I worked up a 21-17 Miami win, but I'm just going to PASS on this one.

Wow! Do the Patriots really look this good? This team really has me worried from the standpoint of being a Colts fan. Will the Rodney Harrison suspension distract them at all? The J-E-T-S are a dam solid team, and very well coached. I have no doubt they will be ready for this one. But Chad Pennington:shrug: Thomas Jones:shrug: . I tried to find a reason to lay my $$$ on the Jets but I cannot do it. I got NE winning 23-20. This game is also a PASS for me.
