Taoist,

Really like the SMU and ULL picks.....and as far as those leans go, there is just no way I am going to be able to stay off of Fresno come Labor Day. Like the Bulldogs a lot in that one!

Good luck this year.......and here's hoping that 2008 does not bring us the roller coaster that was the 3-month progressive fade!!!! I'll never forget that!

Taoist,
Good luck this season. I am leaning on SMU.... That system with Willis should be a huge upgrade. I am just wondering can the SMU defense (Jones weakness in coaching) handle Dillard and the Rice passing game? Will look closer at it and post closer to the date.

Thanks for the insight on the Big 12, always like readying your posts.

Cheers
Irish

Mustangs Start Third Week Of Practice

Mitchell, Smith Move To The Front Of QB Race

Aug. 18, 2008

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU Mustangs kicked off their third week of preseason camp on Monday, August 18, with a focused, but wet, practice in Gerald J. Ford Stadium. After practice, Head Coach June Jones announced that true freshmen Bo Levi Mitchell and Braden Smith had separated themselves and would be the top two quarterbacks heading into the season opener at Rice on August 29th.

"After going through all of the tapes, I felt like Bo and Braden had a better understanding of the offense," said Jones. "I think they're executing a little bit better, so we're going to give them the reps. We will continue to give the other guys reps too, but those guys will get the focus."

You are the first guy I've seen on N Illinois, I had them on my long list before cutting it down. I'm very curious to see if Jerry Kill can get it done at NIU, he's got a ton of returning starters to work with.

Best of luck !!
