Writeups:

1. Rutgers (+2-1/2) over CONNECTICUT (1 unit)

Tyler Lorenzen has thrown for only 198.8 ypg with just 9 touchdowns. Ray Rice leads the Big East with 1,177 rushing yards and is tied with Slaton for the conference lead with 13 TD's.

2. Arizona State (+7) over OREGON (1 unit)

The Ducks were limited to a season-low 339 yards last Saturday against USC and faces another tough challenge against the Sun Devils who are holding opponents to an average of 91.1 rushing yards (11th in the NCAA). ASU also leads the Pac-10 with 14 INT's.

Arizona State is outscoring opponents 153-29 after halftime this season. The Sun Devils have won in their last 2 trips to Autzen Stadium.

3. Purdue/PENN STATE OVER 51-1/2 (1 unit)

The Nittany Lions have scored more than 30 five times this season. They've also given up more than 30 in their past 2 contests.

The Boilermakers have broken the 30-point barrier seven times this season. Painter has 24 TD's and just 6 INT's this season.

This is PSU's final home game of the season.

4. OKLAHOMA STATE (+2-1/2) over Texas (1 unit)

I don't see where Texas has done anything to warrant being a road favorite over the Cowboys. The Longhorns have not beaten on quality team - not one - and their only victory over a likely bowl team was a 3-point squeaker at Central Florida.

5. ALABAMA (+7) over Lsu (1 unit)

The jelling Tide played its most complete game of the year in a resounding 41-17 victory over Tennessee. Bama expanded the playbook for savvy, efficient QB J.P. Wilson who took full advantage by hitting 32-of-46 for 363 yards and 4 TD's vs. Vols.

6. COLORADO (+3-1/2) over Missouri (1 unit)

The Buffaloes are 5-1-1 ATS against the Tigers and take on a Mizzou team that just lost its defensive captain. Colorado has recently faced 3 pass-happy Big 12 offenses - Texas Tech, Kansas, and Baylor - and held all 3 under their season averages for the points scored.

7. STANFORD (+3) over Washington (2 units)

The Huskies have a 6-game losing streak. QB Locker has struggled with some accuracy completing just 48.7% of his passes with 11 INT's. UW is giving up 34 ppg and 474 ypg.

Stanford has struggled at times this season, but it is still in position to make a push for a winning campaign. The Cardinal have the edge playing on their home field and with the support of the fans, they should be able to capture the win.

8. Florida State/BOSTON COLLEGE under 41-1/2 (1 unit)

The Eagles pulled off a thriller last Thursday in defeating Virginia Tech despite being shut out for nearly 58 minutes. They will struggle again on offense against another solid defense. FSU is very similar to VT and I expect another low scoring game.
