The good news is that I smoked the dogs last week, going a stellar 1-0. Skipping week 1, the past 8 weeks have seen me with 4 plusses, including one plusgood week, and 4 minuses, including one double-plus shitty one (see above). Still have 90% of my original bankroll, so never mind the bollocks. My imaginary pet goldfish thinks I shouldn't have come out of retirement. Just between you and me, I'd rather learn how to fish than to consume another's sole. Never mind the bollocks.

I'm just waiting for the dust to settle on the trade deadline, as well as to verify some injury reports, but I've been posting some first-look info that seems relevant if employed properly. I was majorly distracted, last week, so mostly tried using the Force. Dark Side, it turned out. I will try scrutiny.

**Totally Unreliable Spread Handicaps are predictive power rankings for each game from 3 questionable sources (1=teamrankings, 2=espn's fpi, 3=nfelo) --there are likely other, better, predictive team rankings out there but I am just looking for some guidance to see if (or how much) I am out to lunch; these may be helpful in predicting lines but I am skeptical of its predictive power for results; drop word if there are more reliable predictive power rankings available; note: zero adjustment included for home-field advantage on all TUSH (sometimes a hotel is ideal)

--late edit as I notice I forgot updated Cardinals record and points for/against; OPR, SOS, and the TUSH fondles are all up to date through full week 9, for what it's worth

I'm going to buck the trend of poor early performances by the Broncos, here, as they catch the Raiders in an absolutely horrible position, what with LVR's short week and off a full overtime frame where the defense was on the field for 61% of it. Broncos have only clobbered 2 opponents (Bengals & Cowboys, both in Denver), but the Raiders have been clobbered in every road game since their opener at Patriots (Commanders, Colts, Chiefs). Cover Brock Bowers and Geno should be greeting the turf constantly.

Good Luck

So far 0-3 down 90. as Broncos were no-show in 1st half. At least have 3 legs to stand on as Raiders no-showed for full game. Horrific spectacle, that last TNF.

Supposed to be some weather issues for clev@NYJ (definite rain), saints@Panthers (changed from chance thunderstorms--yesterday--to partly cloudy on today's forecast, with some strong winds), Buff@Mia now with chance thunderstorms, chance thunderstorms for ne@TB, nyg@Chic forecasting chance of snow showers as well as strong winds, rain in Seattle and Washington, and a slight chance of snow for MNF in Lambeau.

I could word salad some other justifications but my confidence is teetering. I do think the rushing game will figure prominently this weekend as weather events and matchups seem to be indicating such. Chiefs bye week so I have little excuse for no plus this week. Speaking of Chiefs, my books don't have next week's up, currently, but I heard that KC was available at -3 in Denver for week 11, which sounds precious; Broncos can play twice as good as they did last Thursday and Chiefs should give them a spanking.

Maybe a couple more parlay greed plays if this burgeoning darkness intoxicates me. -450 according to my higher power.

Good Luck
