As the NCAA card gets tougher, I think this is the time to jump into the NFL, as we know can get a much better gauge of the contenders and pretenders. I've played probably less than ten NFL games all year but that will start to increase now that teams get into must win situations and others have gone into the tank.

Anyway my thoughts

Panthers vs Bears -- lean to Panthers but hard to fade that defense as a home pup.

Jags vs Titans -- most likely a pass again lean to home dog.

Colts vs Bengals -- pass for now tough call

Saints vs Pats -- Pats secondary good enough to lay double digits? Saints might end up in a teaser for me.

Cards vs Rams -- can't trust the Rams, can't wager on Cards on the road.

Bucs vs Falcons -- lean to the dirty birds off that embarrassing loss, still don't believe in the Bucs

Raiders vs Skins -- pass

Lions vs Cowboys -- Cboys on short week and have even shorter week ahead looking towards Thanksgiving, could be a factor laying heavy chalk.

Eagles vs Giants -- I said before last night's debacle that if the Eagles lost I really felt they were going to go into the tank, and feel strongly about that after the way they lost to Dallas. Coughlin was livid with the Vikings loss and is cracking the whip this week from what I read. Bad spot for Philly but the Giants do have a terrible track record at home vs backup QBs.

Dolpins vs Browns -- coin flip

Seahawks vs Niners -- lean to Seattle just because the Niners are so inept, don't think I like the idea of double digit road chalk but maybe in a square teaser.

Bills vs Chargers -- pass, Chargers should roll but have been letting a lot of teams hang around this year.

Jets vs Broncos -- Jets are awful, but I could see the Broncos getting up early and putting it on cruise control since they play in Dallas on Thanksgiving. Low scoring game would not suprise me in the least bit.

Steelers vs Ravens -- if Maddox starts I don't see how anyone can lay road chalk on him, should be another low scoring snoozefest.

Chiefs vs Texans --- first play of the week for me, grabbed the -6.5 because I think by Sunday night it will be on the other side of 7. Serious lean and I'm pretty sure I'll hold onto this ticket. More to come on this one.

Panthers -3 2h

Don't see them winning the game but do think the Bears will sit on the lead and Panthers will get on the board.

Blackman, if you think the NCAA lines are tight, wait until you wade into the lines for the guys who play for pay. With only 16 games from which to choose, and a wealth of information available to the linesmakes, it's becoming very difficult to find any overlays.

I started looking to teases a little earlier this year.....

Good Luck

I understand what you mean. By saying the NCAA card gets tougher, I meant that the blatant mismatches you can find go away for the most part in the bowl season. Most of the riff raff is sent home.

Ten games into the season we know what to expect from most of these NFL teams, for better or worse.
