Haven't fully finished with this card, but booked one already.

Saints -2 +100 --- been avoiding the road chalk but the Jets are officially in the tank, with ten starters out, only one lineman still playing the same position they started week 1, no viable QB on the roster, and a defense that is getting worn down as each game passes. Both teams are 2-8, but the Saints at least have shown signs of being competitive, and if they get in the end zone twice it's probably enough based on how the Jets looked last week vs Denver.

There are four teams in the NFL sitting at 2-8, and the Jets are the only ones that do not even put up a fight in their games. New Orleans, Green Bay and even San Francisco at least have shown some signs of life over the past few weeks. The Reggie Bush talk has started in NY, and the excuses are rampant coming out of Jets' camp. I've even seen some of their players trying to make a joke out of the injury situation, which is just a crutch for their poor performance.

Yeah, I know I hate these matchups of stinkers, but I do think the Saints are a little better (at least more talented) than their record indicates and the Jets might even be worse. From what I see from the Jets is they have a career 3rd string QB playing with a 3rd string offensive line, which is about as bad of a combination as it gets.

Speculation is there will be a lot of empty seats on Sunday night as well. Temps supposed to be in the low 30's and even some of the most dedicated Jets fans I know have lost interest in this squad. I think it's a good spot but we shall see.

Seeing Bolinger last weekend with a concussion on the sidelines throwing up was enough for me to decide that this team might be an automatic fade. I was shocked to hear he was healthy enough to start this week.

Good luck.

Have to think N.O. can get it done this week seeing they played N.E. tough losing 24-17 @ N.E.
Step down playing the Jets @ Meadowlands this time.
Wonder if the Jets look ahead to playing @ N.E. next week ? A win vs the Pats would do wonders in this lost season. Hooks

Good luck Blackman -

My favorite play on the board this week is San Diego. Redskins have not been playing to their potential while SD has been playing great lately.

I can't bet this Sunday night game because then I'd have to watch this garbage. A great spot to show my chick that there's more to me than the four straight days of binge drinking and gambling she'll see. Oh, there's a game on? You don't know anything about me, I would rather cuddle honey... :grins:

Kniefl -- serious lean to San Diego as well. I've been trying to avoid road teams but they are playing some very good football right now. After the Skins loss last week they might be left for dead.

Good luck with your play.....But might have an uglier game for ya.

SF at Ten

Ten lost at home last week to an up and down Jacksonville team and SF took the best team in the NFC record wise to the wire. Now SF is getting a TD or more on the road from an identical 2-8 team....looks good....but not really

San Fran has played very tough at home all year, on the road is another story. Avg margin of defeat almost 25 pts. covering one road game against Chicago(-13) in 50 mph winds.

San Fran avgs- almost 11pts on the road and Ten is scoring on avg 22 pts per game at home. Ten also beat a comparable offense in Baltimore 25-10 at home.

Line opened at 7 and with a higher percenatge on San Fran(due to last weeks results) the line still moved up, 7.5, 8 and 9 at some places.

Ten. looks like a strong pick, just a thought.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Blackman. Enjoy the day! I was leaning to the Saints and am now making them a play. Right now they're @-1- and I will get them at just-1 tomorrow at Millenium. GL :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you Blackman.

Not saying I am going to play this, but I was actually thinking of backing the Jets if anything. I know, sounds crazy. But the Saints on the road are pretty horrible. The Jets have actually been somewhat competitive in their home games, only losing by 5 to San Diego, and beating Tampa by 2. They're 2-2 at home, with their biggest loss being by 6 points (in OT). Of course that was before the Kliff Kingsbury era began.

The Jets have also only had one home game in the past 6 weeks (4 road games + bye). This is definitely the softest opponent they have left, and with the possible exception of Baltimore the weakest team they have played against all year. Jets hit the road yet again next week. So I'm kinda thinking if they were to ever win a game, it would be right after getting spanked last week, and then return home to take out their frustrations against another garbage team.

In late-season games between two teams that are clearly out of the playoff picture, the home team is usually a pretty solid play.

All that said, and especially with all their injuries, I can't say that I would actually put money on it....yet.

GL to you.

PS - I think you should pick up Kingsbury in our fantasy football league this week - and start him. :)

I'll do it as long as you start Sage Rosenfels.

In all seriousness I understand what you are saying, and laying road chalk on a 2-8 team makes no sense I know. I just think the ten starters out for the Jets is too much for them to overcome.

Best of luck
