Wow has the season flown by.

Now that the playoff committee has had 2 weeks to digest who are the top 4 teams for the playoffs, I'm sure they are shaking their heads after this weekends games and outcomes.

Ohio State got the escape win of the week, Oklahoma cruised past the Hillybillies, Clemson got gifts from the Deacons, Michigan used their BU QB and won a BIG10 game at home, Colorado showed national TV what they are made of, Washington finally beat ASU after 10 straight SU and ATS Losses, they still have 11 ATS losses in a row by the way not covering the late lines and Western Michigan cruised to an easy win at home on Gameday in Kalamazoo now they'll face a strong Toledo Rocket club with an NFL caliber RB in Hunt and sleeper QB in Woodside on Friday Night. Bama lost one of their best Defensive players and they coasted in a non-cover over UT-Chatty who gave Bama a 100% effort albeit, Bama played everyone except Saban's wife and Kiffin's hot wife.

This coming weeks games of interest.

Friday -

Holy Toledo batman @ W Michigan, game should be a 7-10 pt home fav for W Michigan?

TCU @ Texas in what could be Charlie Strong's going away party with no bowl implications for them.

Boise goes to the Academy in Colorado Springs in which they lost 2 straight to the Fly boys.

Wolfpack @ Tarheels for bragging rights in the Triangle, haha, UNC already lost to Duke, UNC should be favored by around 10.

Houston off a fresh big home win on Senior night goes into Memphis to get some BBQ

Huskies go to Pullman to take care of the Apple that Sleeping Beauty ate, should be a pick'em game.

Saturday -

South Carolina fly into Clemson in the battle of the Carolinas, South Carolinas that is. Tigers should be favored by 14?

Michigan St riding out their disappointing season go into Happy Valley to take on a confident and uprising program in Penn St, Nitt witts should be favored by 14?

Minnesota goes into Madison to take on the Badgers who might get some love talk for final 4 and if the hype is strong like it was for L'ville, Gophers could be rude visitors in this tilt, Badgers favored at home by 10 or so.

Auburn goes into Tuscaloosa for the battle of Bama, the Iron Bowl!! Auburn could be the best matchup Bama has faced all season and the Tide will miss one of their top "D" performers, but I'm sure there is a capable backup for him as well. Bama to be favored by at least 10 to 14? Lots of hype will surround this game.

Kentucky @ Ville in battle of Kentucky, Stoops troops have outperformed what the experts thought for sure and Ville will be licking it's wounds from the ass whooping the Cougars put on them in Houston, I look for Lamar Jackson to run up the score on the Wildcats here, Ville should be favored by 7-10, I would not be surprised if that line is -14 at open.

Utah goes to Boulder for Senior Day in Colorado. Utah off a back door win by Ducks in a game Utah should have put away early and they failed big time. This game will be a 3-4 pt home favored line for Buffs, Utah on the road has been pretty good. This game will have me watching for sure. Maybe a snow bowl game?

Florida off a fresh win at Baton Rouge now go into Tallahassee to take on the Noles. I'm sure Nole is licking his chops for this game. Gators featured a strong RB on Saturday and Appleby's restaurant looked pretty good vs the LSU Tiger "D", but it was the LSU "O" that lost the game for the Tigers on Saturday. This game will be a 3-6 pt line for sure and I don't expect much scoring. Very interesting game.

Michigan goes to the Shoe in Columbus and Buckeyes should be a TD favorite? Status on QB for Michigan again will be iffy, he didn't play vs Indiana on Saturday. Buckeyes relied on Barrett's legs rather than his arm although he did toss a nice floater with the wind in the first quarter vs Sparty. I think that Harbaugh's boys will bring all they have in this tilt and if they are getting near a TD, I'll be backing the Wolverines and Peppers in this tilt, but let's wait for that line to come out and see where it moves this week.

Fighting I-Wish go into Trojan land, blowing a 10 pt lead after 3 quarters vs the Hokies, this is the Domers last game of the season so it's their BOWL game. Coach Helton has a very good young QB in Darnold and he will pick the Irish apart with his legs and his arms and USC will be favored by at least 10 pts, in what could be a very ugly game. Kelly's gotten the vote of confidence from the admin at ND, but I believe he's worn out his welcome in South Bend and needs to move on. With 2 quality QBs in Zaire and Keizer, how do you screw up a season like this? Sure they lost some NFL caliber "D" talent, but the Irish stunk since week 1 and you haven't seen a team that bad this early in the year and towards the end of the year like you did in this Kelly bunch. Something is wrong with this team and it's not the talent folks!

Thoughts from you all is appreciated.

Bucky has had 2 weeks against lesser opponents to work on getting a consistant running game. Still dont think they are where Chryst would like them to be, but they did what they were supposed to do. The defense is as solid as it gets. Unless something materializes during the week I'm taking Bucky laying the points. It'll be a physical game, i expect them to wear Gophers down and pull away in 2nd half. 34-10 Wisky. As always thanks for your time and insight WB.:toast:

Good stuff, BUCKY!! Thanks for the insight on Wisky.

I'm still trying to figure out this team, Wisky, cuz they have gone thru 3 coaches in less than 4 years, having brought in Gary Anderson and he bolts after 1 year to go to PAC12 power, Oregon St and they bring in Chryst from Pitt (Graham, then 2 schucks, one who beat his wife and is out of CFB as a HC) who took over a beaten down program going thru a few coaches before he got there as well. Wondering how they were (WISCONSIN) able to recruit and keep kids of the caliber they have, or is it that they are coaching that well to develop the talent they have? I don't get it! It's tough to have stability when you have revolving door coaches in a 3 year period as they had with Brett leaving, Anderson coming in then leaving as quick as he arrived and Chryst comes in basically with early recruiting at UW already completed. He and his staff must have done a great job of keeping and finding more recruits. How the heck they do that up there?

Thanks!

Regardless of what people think of Barry Alverez, he brought life to this program when he arrived and found/made the blueprint that works. He recruits in state, mostly the big O-Line, and gets most of the athletes out of state. A few have been an exception. Very strong walk-on program also. The players are usually 2-3 star recruits that are coached up over a few years, then by their junior and senior year they are good. Anderson didnt really fit into this mold. He wanted the line smaller and quicker, dont think that was gonna work over the long haul. Wanted to be able to get juco players also. He wasnt a good fit and i think he knew that also. He called oregon st after Riley left. Think he had a foot out the door during 59-0 whoopin we got vs Ohio St. They were better anyway, we werent winning that game. Our line now is all soph/frosh, thats why we're struggling a little. It's just now being built back up. Anderson did bring Aranda and the 3-4, so there's no complaints there. Chryst is a hometown guy. Played here, coached here, knows how things work the best. Fans wanted him when Beliema left but he just signed at Pitt, so BA wasnt gonna get him at that time. And the team is very disciplined and fundamentally strong most years also.

WB - What "D" player are you referring to? Main players who were dinged up Saturday night are fine.

Russell I think, I'll have to look it up, ESPN reported a "D" player out during game vs UTC on Saturday.

LT Cam Robinson, he may play though, iffy right now.

Thought I saw that Allen got hurt, I'll have to double check ESPN flash report.

Do you know of anyone key that got hurt? I know WR was suspended for game for violating team rules for past Saturday.
