2010 Season (includes halftimes)

Last Week 12-9 +5.7 units

1 unit plays 52-28-2
2 unit plays 28-20-1
3 unit plays 4-7

Total 85-55-4 +21.1 units

2009 Season Tally (includes halftime plays)

147-121 units +26.8 units (plays rated 1-3 stars)
9-6 Bowl Record +1.6

Get a reduced schedule this week, so here is what my initial thoughts are:

ASU-Zona
-I think Threat is out for this game, so I am going to wait on a total here. A loss here very well could send Erickson packing, so I think he will pull out all stops here

ILL @ Fresno
-These are two teams that I have had trouble capping for the past few years. Both teams seem to always let me down in situations where I think they should cover and then rise up when I bet against them. Im going to research this one so more.

Mia vs NILL
-I played this for two units at NILL-14.5, as I think they have just two much fire power for Miami. I think that Miami will still be using their backup QB and it should be difficult for the Redhawks to keep up the pace.

Pitt @ Cinc
-I think if Wanny loses here then he is gone if he is not already gone. I may side with Pitt here since I dont think UC can stop the Panthers ground game, so I may hit Pitt, but holding right now.

Rutgers @ WVU
Twenty is alot of points for a very average offense like WVU to cover, but Rutgers is a mess right now. More than likely this game will be a pass for me unless I play the total.

UCONN @ SFLA
-I bet this one also for two units as I hit UCONN -1.5. Daniels is either going to be out for this game or very limited in his mobility. Yea, the backup walk on had a good game vs Miami, but I dont think he can do it two weeks in a row. Huskies are hot right now!

UTST@ Boise
Pass for me, as 40 is too much for me to cap.

Reno @ LATECH
Classic let down spot here for Reno, but pas right now. May be a good over play on the toal once it comes out.

USC @ UCLA
Two teams going in the wrong direction. While 7 seems low to lay on USC, if the offense plays like it did against ND then UCLA could win this outright. Pass for now.

WASH @ Wazzou
I sort of like Wazzou here, but need to run the stats. Wazzou has been a covering machine most of the year. Pass for now!

OREG @ ORGST
Doesnt 15 seem low here? I am really tempted to hit Oreg, but it just seems like the line is a red herring. Going to hold off for now.

SJOSE@ Idaho
Pass on side, will look at total.

UNLV @ Hawaii
Giving up 35 here is tough to lay, but I think Clayton is one of the worst QB's that I have seen this season. Pass for now!

Troy @ FLATL
Pass

MTSU @ FIU
Pass

SMU @ UCF
Im leaning towards the dog here, as 10 points is alot to give to June Jones. Memphis moved the ball on UCF yesterday, so if i play this it will be the dog.

Aub vs SCAR
Hmmm....I love this game....will the line drop or rise? I like the Cocks here to at least keep this within a field goal, but I also want to see ehat the total will be. Passs for now!

FSU vs VT
Does this line seem high at 4.5? I sort of like the Noles here, but want to look further.

NEB vs OKL
Huskers catching 3.5 here, but without Martinez they have no chance of beating OKIE. Will wait to see if Martinez is cleared to play before wagering on this game.

Summary

Early Plays

UCONN **

NILL **

My initial research on which games are likely to produce the biggest blowouts. The team listed should be the favorite and the number indicates the possibility of a blowout. The higher the number the better the chance for a rout:

ORG 404
Boise 343
Hawaii 306
Reno 301
WVU 165
Idaho 137
SOCAL 127
NILL 121
Troy 112
WASH 79
AUB 71
FIU 49
Zona 38
NEB 22
ILL 21
VT 18
UCF 15
CINC 13
USF 4

Playing the whole card tomorrow, fuck it, I am up and playing with house money and this is the last week of the regular season. My daughters have soccer games at 10 and 11 tomorrow morning and then I am heading to Nortons Sports Bar for some football and Guiness and an occassional Jager Bomb. Someone tell me, what is the thing with kids and soccer? I dont get it! When I was a kid we all played baseball, basketball and football, but when I drive around the area doen here all I see is kids playing soccer. I still think its a pussy sport, but what the hell do I know. A dad of one of the kids on my oldest daughters team tried tellling me last week that soccer is hockey without the ice...hmmm.....when I picture hockey, I think of guys on skates that are pounding each other, I think of fights and guys with no teeth, but with soccer, I never see fights, I never really see real physical play, but what the hell do I know.

Give me Pitt +2 for a unit, good chance for snowstorms and wind at kickoff which should hinder the passing team.

Give me Rutgers +21 for a unit.

Played UCONN for two units at +110

Give me Boise over 61 for two units. They will maul this team and may hit 61 themselves.

Give me Reno over 69.5 for three units. LATECH gave up 450 yards to SJOSE through the air, so Reno should shred them.

Give me UCLA +7 as the home dog for one unit. SOCAL is pretty beat up and UCLA should be able to hang with them.

I have got killed on unders this season, as every game seems to go over, but give me one unit on Wazzou under 55.

Toss one unit on ORG over 64, as I really dont have a feel for this game. Beavers are to oerratic to handicap.

I will take Idaho minus 2 td's for one unit

Give me UNLV +35 for one unit

Tryoy over 54.4 for two units...they went under last week so they should erupt and the game is on the U.

FIU over 54 for one unit, I hate the Sunbelt it a garbage conference and should be a FCS League.

SMU +9 for two units, June should keep this game tight as I expect him to open his bag of tricks here.

SCAR +6 for one unit

FSU and VT over 51 for two unit

OKIE -4 for three units! Martinez is doubtful and Green will not be able to move the ball on the Sooners.

As Always

Good Luck Cappers!!!!!

Soccer is one of the reasons I don't have kids yet...I am just not prepared to take that chance that the kid will want to play soccer.

I have 2 daughters, 11 & 7 that I have coached play soccer. If they are having fun by all means let them enjoy with encouragement. Soccer is still a sport and recognized by colleges when your kid gets older as a team activity that looks good on paper. Not saying a scholarship, since those are hard to find, but a reason they should stick with it. If you can, keep them clear of cheerleading. You'll thank me in the future.
