Yeah, I know tennesse has won 6 and a row, but they haven't beat anybody GREAT. Tenn has great motivation for this game because they can still earn a playoff spot, but NE is not going to lay down because they can still get the 3rd seed if Miami beats Indy. NE +3 looks like the best play on the board so far.....

this maybe so, but dont show your ignorance by saying that they have not played anybody during their current win streak, you better go back and check who they beat.........hilarious!

Bill generally would not care if he is the three seed or the four seed. He has a home playoff game, that's probably all he cares about right now. He will make sure the guys that are hurting don't play much, if at all.

As I typed this, I began to wonder if his mindset would change because the Titans have a shot at the playoffs. Is there an unwritten rule that you play hard when your opponent still has playoff hopes and you are already in?

I still don't think Bill will risk injuries that could cost him in the playoffs for a game that means very little to the Patriots.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I hate to sound like the burden of reason... but this is the damn titans we're talking about. Barely edging out teams, and hoping for Losman to throw that pick at the end and not allow a game-winning fg... Come on now...

IMO the Pats play conservative with a helluva lot of new looks from the 2nd/3rd string late first Q and 2nd. Conservative set basic pass/run and see how it goes. Meanwhile Titans seek solace seeding with thunder and fury for 60 min. Love Tenn. in this spot hunting for a win> Pats will rest starters early if Titans get aggressive. Good shot at Tenn. win outright. + Belichix mostly mulling that lawsuit of his GF's infiedelty indelecto runnin' around his brain> Pats rest on the laurel's of a clinch >> will watch that line:SIB my take is Tenn 23- Pats 17

OK, here is who Tenn has beat in their win streak:

@Philadelphia Won 31-13
Nov 26 N.Y. Giants Won 24-21
Dec 3 Indianapolis Won 20-17
Dec 10 @Houston Won 26-20
Dec 17 Jacksonville Won 24-17
Dec 24 @Buffalo Won 30-29

Again, nobody great.....2 NFC teams (enough said), road wins against below average AFC teams, 1 win vs. always inconsistent JAx and 1 solid win at home against a team with one of the worst run defenses in the history of pro football......yeah, real impressive

Not being a ball buster but didnt Pats lose to Indy at home?...regardless of the fact...I would not play this until we here more during the week . no way wilfork or watson plays...and i cant see pats playing starters whole game regardless of seeding..they have home field in first round no matter if they win or not...I can see Pats playing starters the first half then resting most starters to prevent Big injuries...if thats the case, if Tenn can keep it close in first half they could easily cover this number...

we should get more information during the week regarding Pat strategy..

good luck eternal

Eternal. Winning 6 games is very impressive in the nfl no matter who you play. And 4 of the teams on that list may make the playoffs in Philly (in) Indy (in) Jax (possibly with help) and NYG (control their own destiny). So yes, the Titans are very impressive right now and can beat anybody. I think Tenn beats NE.

The one thing in common with Tenn's wins?...Against really crappy run D's...

...except Jax of course, but have a look at the box score for that one.
22 FD's to 5!! Jags favour of course...
Tenn had 41 rush yards and 57 in the air...

Jax turned it over 4 times and Tenn scored TD's on both an INT and fumble recovery.

Won't happen against NE.

Actually, and correct me if i am wrong, but i sort of remember New England in this position before. I think they had the division and they threw (for a lack of a better word) the last game to NOT meet that opponite again. I believe it came back to bite them in the ass.
Anyone else remember something like this ??
