As I did last year, I like to look ahead a lil bit and see some intriguing matchups for the coming week.

1st one, Oklahoma @ Tennessee - Stoops vs the SEC. Rising program in Tenn vs a club that shut down a MAC squad to only 3 pts and improved "D" over a club that could run up some pts and offers some opportunities on special teams in the Vols. I have OKLA winning by 5 pts with 3 pt field advantage to Vols and this will be a Top 25 Matchup.

2nd one, LSU @ Miss St - LSU got cancelled due to Ma Nature vs McNeese on Saturday. Miss St looked ok vs S Miss, but not the type of put away "D" that State had shown in the past and their offense was not clicking on all cylinders, Prescott looked just ok to me after a 49-0 drubbing of S Miss LY, they only beat S Miss by 18 as a 21-24 pt fav? LSU on the rd in this tilt in revenge mode, they lost at home to State LY 34-29, and this line should be Miss St by -4. I like the dog a lil in this one when the official line comes out.

Oregon @ Mich St - Rematch of last year State was doing well and then the earth caved in on the Spartys and the Ducks quacked all the way to the Vegas bank. Cook has had this game circled since last yr and the home crowd will be highly energized in this tilt. I watched some of the Ducks vs E Wash Last night and studied Vernon Adams a lil bit and I was not totally impressed but I don't think the Ducks showed the Sparty scouts too much to study on film about and the Ducks "D" did give up some pts. E Wash is not a push over by any means. W Mich stuck with Sparty the entire game and Sparty had every opportunity to put W Mich away by 20 something pts, but they didn't. They too didn't show the Ducks scouts much to study on film but then again, they have last years film to look at again on Cook. The running game needs to be better than it was vs W Mich for State to have any shot at beating the Ducks. The line on this one should be -3 either way, but we'll see.

Utah St @ Utah on Thursday night should be entertaining, Utes off big home game vs Michigan and Utah St had a toughie vs So Utah last week and were not impressive. Utes at home in this tilt, should be favored by at least 10 and no more than 14 1/2 pts.

Thoughts and feedback as always, appreciated!!
