Did this last week and got some decent discussion, try again in week 2.
NFC East
Redskins- Nice home win, Oline has done a great job facing two tough defenses and allowing just 3 sacks. Ground game has been outstanding with Alfred Morris over 100 yds rushing vs Miami and rookie rb Matt Jones over 100 yds rushing vs Rams. Cousins hasn't made too many bad decisions so far and is just managing the game. Defense playing well, face biggest test on short week trying to contain ODB on Thursday.
Giants- Probably should be 2-0, they cant run the ball. Manning needs another WR other than ODB, maybe Vereen is the answer to that. Giants need a pass rush, Romo and Ryan both over 300 yds passing and barely got there uniforms dirty.
Cowboys- Losing Dez was one thing but now Romo. Strength is still there Oline but would feel better about it if they still had Murray at RB (he may actually get some carries in Dallas). Interesting matchup in week 3 with Atlanta, I think we learn a lot about Dallas this week.
Eagles- I'll say it again, Chip Kelly is not NFL coach material. Bradford may not be his guy, Murray 13 carries for 2 yds is embarrassing. Who's calling Washington for RG3 first? Dallas or Philly?
NFC North
Packers- Packers still the team to beat not only in this division but in NFC. Lacy hurt but for how long? Starks decent fill in. Rodgers makes everyone around him better. Jones another td and Cobb with another solid game and td. Defense did a better job in week 2 stopping the run. Don't think anyone beats GB at Lambeau
Bears- Defense is awful, no sacks in first 2 games at home. Bears were penalized a team record 170 penalty yds, unheard of on a John Fox coached team. Best wr Jeffery didn't play, wouldn't have mattered. Cutler hurt but looked good before leaving the game. Travel to 0-2 Seahawks next week, good luck Jimmy Clausen!
Lions- 53 passes, 16 rushes (4 were Stafford) won't get it done in the NFL. Stafford the leading rusher with 20 yds. Calvin did have 10 catches and a td, nice for fantasy owners. Defense is definitely missing Suh and Fairley up front.
Vikings- AP made nice impact going over 100yds rushing and adding a couple receptions including one for about 50 yds on a busted play. Bridgewater did a nice job managing the game 14-18 1 td and 0 ints. Vikings defense did a much better job in week 2 stuffing the run allowing a total of 38 yds on the ground.
NFC South
Falcons- Nobody had them 2-0 starting the season and probably should be 0-2 but give credit where it's do, they don't quit. Running game struggled but Ryan hit 7 different receivers and Julio was Julio with dd catches and over 100 yds again (best wr in NFL). Third straight NFC matchup next week when they travel to banged up Cowboys.
Saints- WTF? Brees sacked 6 times in two weeks. No clear #1 wr or rb on the team. Superdome no longer a home field advantage as they have forgotten how to win there. I still say Brees misses Graham a lot. Must win at Carolina in week 3 for N.O.
Panthers- Defense still Carolinas strength, 6 sacks in 2 weeks. Haven't faced a top qb yet but will get Brees in week 3. Newton made good decisions ran for 75+ and passed for about 200 yds and 2 tds.
Bucs- Great rebound from opening week going to N.O. and getting a win. Winston ran one in and threw for one. Martin with a solid game 21 carries for 78 yds. Bucs defense sacked Brees 4 times and forced to's. Which Bucs team shows up in week 3 for b2b road game at Houston?
NFC West
Cardinals- Palmer is 15-2 in his last 17 starts, 7 tds and 1 int so far this year and hasn't been sacked. Fitz with a monster game 100 + yds and 3 tds (Fanduel steal at $5400?). Special teams and defense each scored a td for Zona. Cards look like a complete team.
Rams- Tail of two weeks for Stl, held to 10 pts by Skins. Foles 150 yds and completed about 50% of passes. No running game. Rams defense struggling to stop run allowing over 100 yds on the ground in each of first two games. Big test at home vs Steelers with Leveon Bells debut
Seahawks- Still not over concerned about Seattle. They need Chancellor to solidify the defense. Oline played a little better vs GB. Wilson needed to keep the ball more in the first half, Lynch got bottled up a lot when there was running room for Wilson. I'd like to see Fred Jackson more involved and Graham used more often, 1 catch
vs GB is not acceptable. Week 3 home matchup for Seattle should get things going in right direction.
49ers- Tough spot for them in week 2, short week traveling east to Pitt on long week and it showed. Kaepernick had a solid game over 300 yds passing and 2 tds and over 50 yds rushing. Boldin and Smith each with td catches. Oline allowed 5 sacks, has to get better. Defense was torched gave up 3 rushing tds and 3 passing tds, now a trip to Zona in week 3, schedule makers didn't do SF any favors.
AFC East
Patriots- Class of the east and all of AFC. Edelman is uncoverable unless you pressure Brady and even then its tough. Short passing game just as effective as running game, Brady threw 59 passes, no other team wins throwing as much. Gronk is Gronk...beast. Defense only question mark but did have 8 sacks and created to's.
Bills- Defense got shredded by Brady allowing over 500 yds of offense. Young qb needs to learn to get rid of ball, cant get sacked 8 times and throw 3 picks. Props to Buffalo for not giving up after being down by 24 and actually having a chance to tie it late.
Dolphins- Not impressed with this team. They are a punt return away from being 0-2. Tannehill had a nice game 300 + passing 2 tds and 0 ints but play calling is horrible. Miller had 10 carries and the Phins rushed for just 42 yds. Where is the defense Miami expected 0 sacks vs an Oline that allowed 5 last week.
AFC North
Bengals- Solid effort all around. Dalton 3 td passes and Oline allowed 0 sacks. Play selection good with 26 passes and 37 rushes, 20 rushes by Bernard for 123 yds. Eifert and AJ each added a td for fantasy owners. Defense added 4 sacks. Big divisional game at Baltimore next week.
Browns- Johny Football time! Better yet, nice balance of run pass with Manziel throwing just 15 passes versus Browns 30 rushes. Benjamin is Manziels favorite target with 3 receptions, 115 yds and 2 tds. Browns sacked Mariota 7 times.
Steelers- This is a scary good offense only to get better in weeks to come with Bell and Bryant returning. Big Ben over 300 yds and 3 tds. Brown 9 catches 195 yds 1 td, fantasy stud very week. D Williams another solid game 77 yds rushing and 3 tds. Oline allowed 0 sacks and defense added 5 sacks.
Ravens- Bad loss at Oakland. Defense couldn't get off field, missing Suggs already. Flacco good game 384 yds and 2 tds with Smith adding 10 catches and 150 yds. Must win game at home vs Bengals in week 3.
AFC South
Jags- Big win over in state rival Dolphins. Oline did a much better job this week protecting Bortles (0 sacks). About 50/50 rush to pass so good play calling. Jags kicker 3-3 fga including 58 yarder. A Robinson fantasy stud 6 catches 155 yds and 2 tds
Titans- Back to reality. Oline allowed 7 sacks but Mariota didn't turn ball over so one bright spot. Didn't see a Labeau defense in AFC South game getting schooled but its a work in progress.
Texans- Disappointed in this team, defense in particular allowed almost 175 yds rushing. QB play is suspect and you have to have a qb in this league. They need Foster back asap
AFC West
Broncos- Easily could be 0-2 but 2-0 instead. Mannning needs to call his own plays and be in the gun. CJ Anderson has fantasy owners worried. Sanders and Thomas a great 1/2 wr combo tough to stop. Defense has played well and ultimately put his team in first place.
Raiders- Nice home win for them. Carr goes for 350 and 3 tds. Running game nets nearly 100 yds and rookie Cooper grabs a long td to show his value. First road game for Oakland next week at Cleveland.
Chargers- Tough road game at Cincy. Rivers sacked 4 times. Chargers ran for over 100 yds. Allen only 2 catches after monster week 1. Woodhead had solid game again this week. Chargers defense just 1 sack in two weeks.
Chiefs- Costly turnovers gave game away. Charles 125 yds and td rushing but cost team game. Oline allowed 4 sacks and Alex Smith threw 2 picks and still no wr tds in over a year. Defense did sack Manning 3 times and had a pick 6 so defense a strength for KC. Big test next week at Lambeau on MNF
