West Virginia (-9.5) @ ECU

ECU: Showed nothing to me in their monday afternoon game against the Bearcats. THey have many problems that will not be addressed or fixed till later in the season.

WVU: Played a relatively good game against the Badgers last week. They should be able to run and pass all over the Pirates!

WVU should win by 2 TD's or more this weekend

Taking WVU -9.5

Auburn (-8) @ Georgia Tech

GT: True freshman Quarterback Reggie Ball played relatively well against BYU last week. The Jackets did not impress me much last week at all.

Auburn: Truly the better team here. Will be pretty pissed after being humiliated last week against the Trojans. The RB's will have a lot better day this saturday.

Auburn has won the last 9 meeting between these 2 teams. THe last win for GT was in 1978!

Will once again buy the point and take Auburn -7!

Bowling Green @ Purdue (10.5)

BG:

O: The Falcons return an explosive offense from last year. THey have a phenomenal QB in Josh Harris (20 rush, 19 pass and 2 receivind TD's). 3 RB's can all play and the WR's are pretty solid as well. The weakness in the O is at the O-Line where only 2 of the RS's spots are filled.

D: BG has 8 RS's here. The secondary looks strong as well as the LB's. As stated in their offense, the D-Line is the weakness for this side as well.

Purdue:

O: Purdue led the Big 10 last year with over 450 yds/game in offense and that probably will not change much with 8 RS's this year. Purdue is blessed to have 2 of the best WR's in the conference in Stubbefield and Standeford. The only concern seen here is the 3 opening spots on the O-line. Also , they will have to answer the void left by Harris at RB.

D: Just like the offense, Purdue's defense led the Big Ten with under 320 yds/ game allowed and have 9 RS's. The player to watch is FS Schweigert as he could be sensational this year.

The biggest weakness on the team would probably be at the kicking game!

Should be a great game with 2 explosive offenses and 2 good defenses.

In the last 2 years, BG is 5-0 vs BCS conference opponents!
Last year, BG had a 97% red some efficiency.
BG's new coach Brandon showed last week that he can lead this team, even though it was against Eastern Kentucky

Bowling Green won the only previous meeting between the teams, 17-14, in West Lafayette in 1972!!

Purdue IS the better team here, but i cannot go agaisnt the stats here and the hook! Purdue will probably win this game, but
i am going to lay off this one....the points scare me though

i had initally played BG, but bought it back....sorry

NCSU (-7.5) @ Wake Forest:

WF: Did an exceptional job in coming back last weekend to beat Boston College. QB Cory Randolph is a good QB. BC showed that WF is pretty weak against the RUN, and not that great against the pass. WF is a gritty team and would never overlook them...leaned to them last week, and now I am kicking myself that i didnt play them last week!

NCSU:

O: To say that the Offense is only a 3 headed monster is a HUGE understatement. True, Rivers, McLendon and Cotchery are all lethal in their own rights, but there is a new WR in town and he goes by Tramain Hall. He was absolutely spectacular last weekend grabbing catching and returning kicks! Its scary, but he reminds me of Torry Holt, but in his Junior and Senior year....he is that good. The other RB, Cotra Jackson is back after sitting out a year and he showed that he still has the speed that had earned him the starting job last year. WR's Hicks and Betrand also played well and showed that they can catch Philips odd-looking passes. LT Colmer will be back to solidify the O-line and protect Philip even more! This Offfense is explosive and can put up 35 points each and evey weekend!

D: The real problems i saw last weekend were all in the Defense. There were very few QB rushers, hurries or sacks. The secondary either played soft or was confused since W. Carolina was able to move the ball pretty well. The D lost a lot of great players last year and with only 5 RS's, will have to grow up quickly if they do not want to be burned deep often! The biggest weakness on the defense is clearly at the D-Line, but Frosh Mario Williams will be throwing his 6'7" frame around to wreak havoc!! Luckily they all got a easy game last week to get used to playing, but now the first real test approaches.

I do not think State will be looking forward at the following weeks game against OSU because this is an ACC game and they cannot take the Demon Deacons lightly after thier win last weekend. This is also the starting block IF State wants any chance at the ACC crown this year. State beat WF 32-13 last year in an early season game.
The major thing people forget is that WF fans (like Duke's) never fully fill their stadium and with the closeness to Raleigh, many State fans make the 1 hour drive there to root the team on. This is really like a neutral site than any home field advantage for WF. This is not any disrespent to WF or Duke, just stating the obvious as i have gone many times to both stadiums. Most times there was more Red shirs in there than Duke blue or WF gold!

State is the better team here and should prevail.
Like i stated before, i am playing safe and buying the hook at taking State at -7....also will take the ML once it becomes available!

As i am sure everyone knows, i am a BIG Pack fan (alum), so I am definitely biased on this play. State knows the importance of this game, and Chuck will have the team more than ready IMO!!

This should do it for the weekend, but if somethink changes, i am sure i will will add accordingly!

gl to all this weekend and GO PACK!:D ;)
