Cincinnati will certainly play a lot of three-deep
in the secondary to discourage the kind of long
throws that Pitt's pass-happy Tyler Palko wants to
make. That will force the Panthers to be patient
and wait for their opportunities.

Because they have a vastly improved defensive front this
season, Pitt can can afford to do that. Pitt's pass defense
was very good last season despite a so-so defensive front.
Now, the entire unit should just hold the fort and perhaps
even make a play or two themselves against a very
ordinary Cincinnati offense. Since they made defensive
plays against Virginia, they can make 'em against
Cincinnati. If you do something once, you can do it
again.
