Ist Qt. 1-2 [ -1.54] UNITS

props 0-1 [-1.00] ''

totals 9-3 [+10.79] ''

NFL ytd +6.25 ''

NOTE...Wagering is my hobby...that is all it will ever be .. Parlays and teasers are not recommended by a lot of in the know folks but they are part of the NFL and College betting seasons for me and my wife...Yes we play in a Fantasy League together:142slap: as well..
Five[5] TV's w/DTV ..cold beer for her and sun tea and steamed shrimp for me.Following 6-7 games at a time and the ribbing and trash talking is a blast..
I mention these things in the interest of letting everyone know that the chances of picking up winners in my threads in quite slim...But I have found out over the course of the life w/the 2 previous wives that it is better to include the wife and let her throw away some cash...and furthermore it is a hell of alot more fun than being dragged on a vacation I never wanted to take and a hell of alot cheaper:mj07:

Vikings Money Line for 1st Quarter -105 [/COLOR] WINNER
Dome team verus Carol team which may have a tuff time going downfield through the air

The Carolina Panthers appear almost certain to go into Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings without four starters, including wide receiver Steve Smith.
Smith did not practice on Friday and has not practiced now in 17 days because of a strained hamstring. Although he's still listed as questionable on the injury report, barring a miracle there's no way Smith makes it out on the field.

That's good news for the Vikings, who allowed Smith to catch 11 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown in Carolina's 38-13 win last year.

You don't have to tell Panthers guard Mike Wahle how loud the Metrodome can be. After playing six years for the Green Bay Packers, he remembers quite well what it's like to play at Minnesota.

"They pump in music from extra speakers they put behind your bench so you can't hear anything," Wahle said. "We might have to go out there early and yank the plugs or something, I guess."

Wahle said whoever starts on the offensive line this week must be mentally ready.

"You have to go in focused and know your assignments," Wahle said. "Sometimes you're not to going to be able to hear the calls and you're going to have to know the calls and know what to do. The thing is when it gets real loud and you get excited and the place is shaking you have a tendency to let your mind play tricks on you, thinking you heard the snap count.

"You see more false starts. It's easier for the guards than the tackles because we're closer to the ball. But the key thing to quiet the crowd down is to move the ball. We're going to have to do that, otherwise it does get loud."

*..revamped "O" line was not ready for Dome noise..out of sync entire 1st quarter

Seahawks Money Line for 1st Quarter -201 winner

can Seahawks go 5 quarters w/o a TD...

sure is possible but I like the chances that they don't..

Cardinals will need 10 in first quarter.

I think Alexander get a few extra touches after last weeeks 58 yards rushing...

The Steve Hutchinson loss sure seemed to loom large last weekend in Detroit. But expect Alexander to rebound in a major way vs. the Cardinals. Not convinced? He has nine TDs in Arizona's last three visits to Qwest Field.
14-0 ist quarter...Alexander TD...
Alexander ran 2 yards for the first score, and punctuated it by taking a bow in the end zone. He could have been bowing to thank the Cardinals for the drive.
ok........thank you !

the better half. If only we all could have that.
Obviously you play 13 pt teasors. Not telling you

dem boys w/ the $200.00 shoes is smarter than a mongoose taking on a Cobra.

A thing for snakes
Mongooses are well known for their desire and ability to attack and kill snakes. The Egyptian mongoose - which ranges across Africa into Asia - is sometimes kept as a pet to keep snakes away from households. Almost all mongooses spring into immediate action when they see a snake, eager to dispatch what would be a predatory threat and getting a succulent meal in the process. Mongooses are so fast and agile that they can out-jump a strike from an adder, duck when spat at by a cobra, and grasp a serpent's throat before it can say "ricky-ticky-tavi".

13pt. Teaser

1 . Cincinnati U +41.5 for Game [WINNER] NCAA GAME

if he whips his buddy by 42 I don't think they will exchange Christmas Cards this year

2. Colts PICKEM for Game winner

Rode these Colts like a DEAD MULE last season Will continue to do so until the show me they are not interested in posting a 30 spot on any inferior team that ventures into the Dome.

3. Detroit Lions +22.5 for Game loser

Takes 23 unanswered points to lose this portion of the teaser.
With 10 years experience I gotta believe that Jon Kitna can keep some sort of control over the ebb and flo of this contest. He pitched at least a decent game against Seattle in week#1 and while Seattle's Defense may not be of the caliber of "Da Bears" their[Seattle] isn't horrible either.
Last seasons blow-out by "Da Bears" came via Joey being Joey..throwing 5 INT'S...
I seriously doubt a similar effort from Kitna.
Give me a first half field goal and a courtesy TD in the second half and I like my chances here of the Juggernaut Bears not posting 33 points in this contest.

4. Titans +24.5 for Game loser
couldn't have been more wrong here..2 losers in the same 13 point teaser...always good to have both in same play but still pitiful cap job This is a TICK TOCK GAME...running play after running play...

In his first NFL start, Rivers didn't do much more than hand the ball off and watch his defense dominate. He didn't have to: Tomlinson carried 31 times for 131 yards and one touchdown and the Chargers handed Oakland its second home shutout in a 27-0 victory against the Raiders
"It was exciting," Rivers said. "I've been waiting for this day for a long time. ... I've said before, I don't care if I have to hand it off 50 times or throw it 50 times, as long as we win."
With much of the focus on Rivers as he replaces Drew Brees, Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer put the game in the hands of Tomlinson and his defense, spoiling Art Shell's first game back as Raiders coach.
Rivers, who spent his first two seasons as a backup, went 8-for-11 for 108 yards, including a 4-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Gates in the fourth quarter that made it 20-0.

The Chargers ran the ball on 48 of 59 plays, and Rivers threw only two passes to wide receivers.

That was dictated by the score," Schottenheimer said. "If I had Dan Marino, I would have done the same thing. Everything he was asked to do, he did in a winning fashion." :mj08:

Sure:mj07: you would Marty...You have had Rivers under your system for 3 training camps and 2 full NFL SEASONS and he throws 4 passes in the FIRST HALF of a game you lead 3-0 at the end of the first quarter and 13-0 at the half...:mj07:

How in the hell is a SD club preparing or prepared to make a run to the playoffs and or SUPER BOWL knowing full well that the likes of INDY,KC,[before Green injury]DENVER,CINC,SEATTLE and even PITT. are not going to let you coach a one dimensional OFFENSE.
I don't give a hoot who you have running the ball.
Tenn. coach Fisher will force Mr.Conservative[Marty Schottenheimer] to show that Rivers can be more than a practice squad QB.
Interceptions or TICK TOCK TICK TOCK they both bode well for Titans +24.5

glta..........

Kramer,
with the success of Favs last year it's hard to question any selection involving taking a TD FAV and turning around to PLUS POINTS...
With all the silliness involved in the 13pt. teasers I still like to gauge what the reaction of the linesmakers will be from wek to week..
Last year I personally think that the linemakers kept waiting for the DOGS to return the % to some sense of order but they didn't thus Fav. players had a nice season.Of course then the teaser FAV player had some BIG FUN.But keep in mind in years past these types of wagers would deplete the HOBBY/ENTERTAINMENT BETTOR'S bankroll in a hurray because heaven knows they wouldn't know MONEY MANAGEMENT if it hit them in the face.
The supposed "Smart Guys" took at least a little hit last season refusing to believe that the linesmakers and that ever popular phrase"I want to be on the same side as the house" would still hold merit..Well for the most part it didn't and Dog players and Bookmakers took a hit.
Doesn't much matter though..One season where the PCT. SLIPPED OVER TO THE FAV PLAYER didn't dim a single light bulb in any Vegas Sportsbook or creditable off shore house.
They[bookies/sportsbooks] have been eating the lunch and kissing the girlfriends of 99.999999% of the folks who think they can bet on the NFL and win through the course of the season or seasons for eons.
One of these days I will have to share the story of the "Mr.Big Mouth I know It All" aquaintance I had in the local watering whole..I am sure there are thousands of these stories that MS members could recount but this was a classic..

One bit of advise I would give would be to keep track of closing lines and totals and final scores in each game.Runs of FAVS/DOGS and OVERS/UNDERS in years past had a tendency to even out..My experience has taught me that teams are seldom as good or bad as they appear in week#1 through around week #4...After this period of time you at least have some numbers to work with. The silly 13 or 10 point tease can make for some mighty entertaining Sundays when the pendgulum swings the other way. 6 unders in Sun. action wk.2.....there were 11 total in week#1
Good Luck this entire season..

13 pt. teaser

Ravens pk for Game
Colts pk for Game
Dolphins +7 for Game
Broncos +2.5 for Game
LOSER.... ...
IF both Balt. and Indy "are all that and a bag a chips" then it is just a matter of the proper 2 selections for the fill.
Lotta eggs in one basket w/Indy.It produced teaser winners last season...will rideColts till they throw a couple of shoes verus these scrub teams.

Everthing points to pure diaster w/Oak. and their Off.Line...Lotta things can be fixed in the NFL...A sad "O" Line isn't one of them...

Fish w/extra practice time...Should take care of a Bills team that is below average at best..[/B]....FISH WERE FLAPPING LIKE A TOAD READY TO DIE FROM THE OUTSET...two extra days to prepare and still stunk-up the joint..

KC...a sea of Red ...great fans and little else...without Green...w/o a go to receiver and visit Mile High for Bronco Opener...could get real ugly............Where is Hank Stram when ya need him.
9-6 in OT....YEA........bring that knock out punch to a playoff game

......................................................................

OAKLAND FADERS

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The Baltimore Ravens still haven't given up a touchdown. The Oakland Raiders have now gone 120 minutes without one.

VIKINGS

Be carefull...they aint all that and a bag of chips...outside the Dome they are going to take some major lumps...Some potential ...but lacked deep threat today...and also lacked the knockout punch...Mid-field..1st down...late 4th...field goal wins...swallow the peach...lucky to win today...Carolina has Peppers.."D" busting tail...But w/o Smith for deep threat...they ain't much on "O"

......................................................................
