Going ahead and jumping on Ole Miss now while the line is under 21. This game should not be close. Rebels are much more talented in the trenches as well as the skill positions. Rebels also get their defensive leader, Denzel Nkemdiche, back from a one game suspension. Watching the Vandy game last week, I could not believe how bad they looked offensively. Not one single point against Temple's D. I'll be shocked if they score against the Ole Miss big D-Line. Historically, Vandy always gives Ole Miss hell. However, I don't see Ole Miss overlooking Vandy or see them coming out flat. This is a big conference game for the Rebels and if they want to be undefeated when Bama comes to town, they need to take care of business against the pesky Dores.

Ole Miss 45 Vandy 6

Vandy lost four of five fumbles and threw three interceptions. Poor performance for sure and the entire Vandy coaching staff should be furious. First game jitters? Dunno, but I think by the end of the week the Vandy coaches have this team in lockstep. Some say a bettors memory is only as good as the last game and this line jumped three points before anyone could say 'boo'. Some also say that no team is as bad or as good as one thinks they are. I think the outcome of this game is decided late in the fourth quarter. I've been wrong before.

What's the word on Prescott for this week? I hear he sprained his ankle in practice and may be out for 2 weeks. Curious if that's truth or just rumor. UAB looked real good last week against Troy and their new coach is very good. Could see them keeping it within 4 TDs if Dax is out

I spoke with a player and he said Dak was fine. From what I can gather, he may have sprained his ankle, but he will be a game time decision. I don't think he is hurt bad, but we aren't playing a conference game so no need to get him hurt. As for UAB, so they looked good against Troy huh? Who doesn't? We beat Troy 62-7 last year. If Dak doesn't play, Damian Williams will do just fine. He hasn't been turned loose yet. Conservative game plan vs. OM and mostly mop up duty so far. State will put up 49-59 in this one. UAB will put up 7-17. MSU depth will really show in the 2H.
