Hit the under second half last night but what a terrible game... not a big deal about the Okie loss they were outplayed but that under on the game and the BAD no review of the Okie fumble late in the third was a JOKE!

But we live to play another day
Boise (-12.5) over Wyoming
Smurf turf off a loss where the Broncos play extremely well. Coming off the first loss in a long time and off a poorly played game against washington. Wyoming is 2-0 but both games were home and one was a game vs Utah St, which I think was an easy pass. The Cowboys lost a heartbreaker to BSU in Laramie last season, 17-10 as they started off 1-4. Wyoming can gain considerable attention with a win and a 3-0 start in 2007. Wyoming is a good team with talent on offense, Sween is a good QB but he will throw picks and I think the Boise defense can be oppertunistic today. On the other side Taylor Tharp needs to be a little smarter with the ball. Three turnovers will not get it done against anyone.A strong dose of Avery and Ian Johnson should be enough in this game. Off the loss I think Boise will come in and look to impress, not only did the loss hurt the team but it knocked them out of the top 25 and you would have to think that gets some added attantion come inspiration time.

UNC (-3) over UVA
Yes the wahoos beat up on Duke but on the road they got beat by Wyoming. This is the home ACC opener for Butch Davis and I think coming off hard loss to ECU the heels will be ready for this game. Yates is a good enough QB to make a lot of plays but Davis needs to find the answer at RB, that position will take some stress of Yates and open up the offense. The SCARY stat is ECU was able to throw for 400 plus yards something UNC must eliminate if they want to win this game. The last two times these two teams met in Chapel Hill, the result was a 7-5 victory for the Tar Heels, that will not be the score with all the holes in both defenses. Who will lead the UVA offense, Sewell or Lalich. Both have talent but Sewell has more big play options but he makes bad decisions and forces the ball. That is who I would like to see. Putting a LB spy on him will eliminate his legs and force him to stay in the pocket which should lead to incompleteions and turnovers. UNC has to have a RUN stop game play Sewell and Pearman are the weapons and putting the defense in the box will help take away the UVA offense effectiness. UVA has a young QB, and UNC can frustrate him and should with blitz pressur. I like the home field in this ACC match up. Both teams are not strong but UNC has a lot of upside and freshman talent. Davis has to open up the playbook and out duel Groh. A huge GT game is on the door step for UVA and some (just some) might look ahead. I'll spot the three for the home field and expect the offense for UNC to avoid the inconsistancy that UVA will show.

Small play
Mich St (-11.5) over Pitt
Mich has the home field, Pitt is very banged up with a young QB. The mich team believes and is playing well right now. Teams are not battle tested but Pitt even less IMO. A lot of chalk but I am not sure Pitt can match up with a talented fast team with a chip on their shoulders.

Ohio St (-3.5) over Wash
Wash is a good team and they shocked me last week but are they strong enough to beat Ohio St. Not saying talented enough, I am talking pound for pound stronger. OSU has a history of playing weak teams early and not looking sharp against them but every year they come to play in big games. They have enough O-line talent to push openings and they have the talent at running back to make Wash pay. Boise lost the turnover battle and I think that had a big part of the game. Ohio St travels a LONG way and should be ready considering all the hype is on washington. Also I am not sold on the offense of Washington. They played Cuse and Boise, the key will be the spy on the QB. This kid can play but a strong blitzing defense and LB's that can shadow him might cause enough problems. Washington has the swagger back but I am just not sold on them. I am not sold on the Ohio St QB but I am sold on their running game, line and defense. Tressle knows this is a big game and I am sure he will motivate his troops. I know OSU looked bad last week but they will use that to get fired up. All the talk is about Mich losing and Penn St being the team to beat but nothing is being said about Ohio St. That could change today with a good performance, but with a bad performance it will be over for the bucks. Still they come out with a defensive pressure mind set and force the first year starter to beat them and they have a far better defense then anyone he has faced to date.

FSU (-4.5) over Colorado
SPEED against craftiness..... FSU is by far the fastest defense colorado has seen and even though tyhey are at home Coaches son QB will have a tough time. FSU is not good on offense and they have a bad o-line but they are stronger on offense and should be able to run the ball. On defense I EXPECT FSU to blitz and force turnovers. I think the edge in coaching at least in head coaching goes to colorado but overall I expect Fisher to start small victories in offense. I base my play on the FSU defense against imo an alright Colorado offense.

OK... I'm drunk even by Irish's standards.....

Arizona St (-28) over who ever they play
Why... because I have at least one/third this bottle and 6 pints in the ice box. And I think Ariz st has a very good offense at home. 28 is a lot but

Re-hit
Fsu (-4.5) over Colorado
Can FSU show up for god sakes... put in X. Lee and just let him run around.

Hey Arky making a comeback of it.
