Ravens Report

The secondary looks like Swiss cheese. Their main pass rusher is lost for the season. Their main receiver looks like he is 55 years old. Their only deep threat has not seen the field since the first day of practice. For the first time in the Flacco / Harbaugh era, the Ravens are 0-2. This game is their home opener where the Ravens are 17-1 at home in September! Of course, the only loss was against the Bengals last September, a game where every single bounce (and the refs) went the Bengals way.

You can say what you want about the Ravens, but this is a class organization with an outstanding coaching staff. No game, no prediction is ever 100%, but I can guarantee that the Ravens will be well prepared and will come out with 110% effort in this game. In week 3, their season is on the line and they will play like it.

Play: Ravens -1 (-125)

I will not be posting the rest of the 1pm picks until sometime between noon and 1230pm Sunday. I am calling in the troops and diving into this board with a crow bar. Alarm set for 6am and will spend a solid 6 hours dissecting these NFL plays. I am getting out of this .500 rut that I am in. We are winning this week!!!

1pm Board

Ravens -1 loss
See above

St Louis pk
loss
A pair of 1-1 teams. The rams are tough at home. The Steelers have the Ravens on deck Thursday night. Steelers only scored 21 at New England against a softer defense then what they face today. The Rams beat the Seahawks at home despite being minus 2 on turnovers.

Philly +3 win
The Eagles can match up well against the Jets with the dink and dunk pass. The Jets have 10 take aways thus far. I have my suspicions about the Jets offense and I believe the Eagles can and will contain the beard today

Oak +3.5 win
I think the Raiders are for real. McCown starts for the Browns where he is 0-7 as a starter. The Browns turned the ball over 5 times in week 1 with him as a starter.

2 team 7pt teaser
loss
SD +9
Houst +1

-Desperation time for the Texans. JJ and co can disrupt the newbie Winston
-SD is 8-1 ATS last 9 ATS in September. Back to back road game kept them from being straight play

Leans

Tenn +3.5
I can't bet against an 0-2 team that went to the AFC championship last year, but Tenn will be fired up as Mariota makes his first home start

Atlanta pk
Cowboys have lots of holes and the Falcons seem to be on the comeback

Jax +14
Jags look better but I don't have the balls to take them going into Foxboro

Saints +10
i think right now McCown might give the Saints a better chance. I can't lay 10 with the Panthers against anyone. Close to being a play

Late Afternoon Plays

Chic +16
loss
Not going to lay 16 points with an 0-2 team. No Cutler may be a plus.

Miami -1 (-115) loss
Dolphins home opener. Bills first road game. These teams will look much different than 1st 2 weeks

2 team 7 pt Teaser win
Arizona +0.5
GBay +0.5

-Cards at home, tough defense, SF reeling on the road, ARZ 6-1 ATS last 7 as fav of 3 to 10 pts
-Packers at home on Monday night, just need to win, Enough said
