ND over Mich, I know the Irish suck, but I have watched Michigan play twice this year and their offense is pathetic. Irish have the experienced QB in this game and are at home.
OSU over USC, I am thinking that Wells is going to play, as quite a few locals here are spectulating that Tressel is playing a cat and muse game with Pete. OSU has perhaps the best overall defense in the country going up a rather inexperienced offense. I think Boeckman is a below average QB, but I expect Tressel to roll out a form of the spread offense with Pryor during the game to cause USC to have matchup problems.
Akron over Ball State, The Zips, Reno, and Navy qualify as the "rushing dogs" plays for this week. Interesting tidbit is that Akron has not failed to cover a spread of 4 points or more since 2004, and no MAC dog of 4 points or more failed to cover last season.
I played OSU +11.5 before hearing tonight that Wells has been ruled out. I really thought he would play. I'm just not sure what to think about the game now. I am just gonna ride out my play and hope Tressel has something up his sleeve with Pryor.
I did play Michigan based pretty much on the fact that I think ND is awful. These are, far and away, my two least favorite teams in college football, so I do enjoy seeing both struggle. Michigan has looked pretty bad this year, but ND looked bad against an AWFUL team last week. I also feel that Michigan will make strides every week as they become more comfortable with RR's system, while I think ND just has a poor coach and a poor team.
As for Akron... when it comes to the MAC, I pretty much defer to Spang/BG/Spackler's insight.
