CLEEEEAR!!

My picks went 2-3 in week 2 and that is unacceptable. Lost 2 plays on the Prime Time favorites shitting the bed after having double digit leads late, but no excuses. Rest assured, I'm putting in overtime on this week's board and we will prevail.

There are several games that I like this week. As I zero them down, I will post them throughout the week.

First Game. I have had this team's number so far this year. I fully expected the Texans to be a much improved team this year and I jumped on them with both feet in weeks 1 & 2. Let's face it, 9-7 would be a banner year for Houston, so obviously they are going to lose a few games. This week is just a bad spot for this team. Back to back road games AND the fact that they went to Oakland on the west coast and then have to go to New York on the east coast the very next week. This results in over 6100 miles of travel. That's a tough week for anybody.

Secondly, Houston opened as a 2.5 pt favorite and are now down to -1 in some books (10 nickles), despite getting around 70% of the action so far.

Next, Houston was out gained 364yards to 327yards by Oak last week. 4 huge turnovers were the Raiders' demise. The Texans were also out gained by the Skins 372 to 316 in week 1, winning that game with a blocked punt for a TD and a Skins fumble inside the 10 yard line, wasting an 11 play, 78 yard drive.

The Giants often start slow. In the past 8 years, the Giants have lost their home opener 4 times, but 3 out of those 4 times they responded with a win the next home game. They have now started the season 0-2 for the 2nd straight year. It's nothing new for the Giants, who won the Superbowl in the 2007 season after starting 0-2.

Last week, the Giants vs Arizona played much better than week 1..... for 50 mins. In fact the Giants gained 341 yards to Arizona's 266. Then they imploded. With a 14-10 lead in the 4th Qtr, the Giants watched the Cardinals rack up 15 straight points starting with a Tedd Ginn 74 yard touchdown punt return (after the Giants failed to convert an easy 3rd down due to a Victor Cruz drop). New York then fumbled the ensuing kickoff. The defense still held the Cards to 3 and out, resulting in only a FG. Now down by 8, the Giants compose themselves and impressively drove 66 yards down to the Ariz 14, only to see another fumble, this time by Jennings. The Giants defense still held, forced a punt, and gave the Giants another chance. After a 4 and out, that was that.

Summary:

I saw a lot of fight in this Giants team last week. They didn't give up, especially on defense, despite all the adversity. Obviously, the turnovers must be addressed especially against the Texans. Houston has won back to back games even though they were out gained in both. This is their 2nd road game in a row on the road, having to travel to opposite ends of the country. Houston is in a very difficult spot this week. New York is in a must win situation. Look for the Giants defense to look strong this week while Manning and the offense limit the turnovers and do enough to win and prevent a 2nd straight 0-3 start.

Play: NY Giants +2 Win

"Last week, the Giants went into a very tough environment in Phoenix (Arizona 7-2 last 9 at home)"

Also Houston didn't play AZ yet. They played Wash at home and Oak in Oakland.

What you're saying makes sense though regarding the play

CLEEEEAR!!

Notes are now accurately updated ( I think), was working on 2 games at once and mixed up my notes. Sorry for the confusion. I do really like this play. Think Houston is in a real tough spot.

2 Team 7 pt Teaser
Win

Colts pk
Saints -3

About as square of a teaser as you can get.

-Colts are 0-2 going into the land of one of the worst teams in the NFL. If the Colts can't get a W in this spot and go to 0-3, heads might start to roll. A must win spot for the Colts where they should, and will win. Colts are 5-1 ATS last 6 as a road Favorite between 3 and 10 points and 9-2 last 11 ATS within their division. Jags are 1-5 ATS last 6 as dogs between 3 and 10 and are 3-11 ATS last 14 home games

-Saints are also 0-2 in a must win spot. Again, going against a team that they can and should beat especially without AP. I do have some respect for this Viking team, but this is a tough spot for them.
This is the Saints home opener where they are a completely different team. Saints are 12-4 ATS last 16 at home.

On the giants!
After the first two weeks New York teams have not been kind to me. Jets blew cover in week #1, Giants what can I say after the Az. Game. With that said I'd back the football Giants.

The New york Football Giants as they were called were my pick to win it again this year ....but two weeks into season and - 6 in to's the worst in NFL speaks loud and clear

Texans even tho you say were out gained and also haveny beaten anybody yet ..BUT the NYG are losing to losers from last year

YES the travel is a lot but houston is central it's not the full trek like Chargers to buffalo are this week

Soory i'll take JJ swat and Brian cushing over that weak Gints defense and the NEW OC is still trying to work out the bugs in his system BUT no matter what ELI is toosing up picks again 2 per game and when you have high scroing defnse Like TEXANS YOU got trouble in NY CITY rather Medowlands NJ

I took texans after solid handicap .and a back up 2nd string QB beat the giants last week

TEaxns got the WR's and Ground game plus the defense is back again>

Final score Texans 27 Giants 17

Ravens -2 Push

Not doing as separate Ravens report due to time (going to last reg season home game of the Orioles) . I ever so slightly like the Ravens this week. should be a close. hard fought game. Ravens must run the ball to be successful. Think its going to be hard for the Browns to win back to back games against playoff caliber teams. Flacco / Harbaugh 11-1 vs Browns. Gotta go with the trend..
