Think Sooners just blow away a bad UCLA team...
OU -13.5 1st half **
Last yr they beat them 49-21 and with Hurts there is no drop off at Qb.. Think Lincoln needs some West Coast love and just destroys this once power football team... Kelly should be on his way out...

Maryland -6.5 over Temple **
Terps qb is the real deal...they have some game breakers on offense...Owls are tough but cannot stay with with the Terps.. Jackson at qb is a real threat Terps lyr were beaten by Owls...little revenge today.

Centr Fl -9 over Stanford ****
CF never gets to play with these power 5's..to athletic all over the field..they need to make a statement when they play these schools and the Cards are down this year.

Navy -7 over ECU ***
Pirates cannot and will never figure out how to stop the option offense..2 yrs ago they played and navy won 66-31...same thing happens today..Navy is passing a little more this yr..

Army -17 over UTSA ***
Nites have played 2 tough games..Rice was an embarrassment winning 14-7..but they had Michigan and blew it..lost in OT today they get their wishbone going vs a weak UTSA defense.. Hopkins has a big day

SMoo -17.5 over Texas St ***
Smoo blew North Texas away with UT qb Buechele Sonny D and Tex coach are buddies are coached together...so blow out migh not happen if Smoo takes its foot off the pedal..Smoo has been 3-0 since 1984...Smoo has 2 big time wr's tat will be tough to stop... Tx St is 0-2 with no qb..they have 21 pts total in 2 games and no Fg's in 10 attempts...the friendship in the 2 head coaches has me worried..

Cal -14 over North Texas ****
NT has a good qb in Fine...record breaking qb in Td;s and yards etc... a good offensive team but on defense they are hurting.. Smoo scored 49 pt and had over 300 yds passing..and 3 td;'s there def secondary cannot stop anybody and when they can they pass get interference penalties ...NT coach is making adjustments this week...with some new starters...but California can throw it...think NT defense gets very few stops and Mean Green offense will see a tough defense ..

Texas -32 over Rice ***
Texas has to be so upset about the LSU game..so take their frustrations on the Owls whose offense is bad and new qb starting.. Texas defense should not have problems vs Rice offense...and Rice defense will have big time problems stopping ... Horns need to get away from Austin to slow down all the locker room AC problems and fans bum rushing the gates to get in the stadium last Saturday..what better way to end all the side attractions they a big blow out win over Rice...

Thank you very much Old South...hope your Ok with trying to keep up with me...
Last week my wife and dog and I left NY and drove to Austin...did it in 3 days..drove to columbus ohio 1st night..then to Memphis....for a night and then to Longview Texas where my wifes brothers live..then a 5 hours to Austin..so back in Austin now but leaving Sat am for Ft Meyers Florida...we have tickets to see the NY Giants play Tampa Bay on Sunday...with a few of my fellow teachers..then will fly to Philly and stay with daughter a few days and take the train back to NY...we haven't sold the house yet...will stay in NY a few weeks and then close the house down for the winter...really thought the house will sell fast but people don't want 5 bedrooms old Victorian homes anymore...it will sell but I guess you have to be patient...

In Memphis last week had an incident at the hotel..we were staying at a LaQuinta in downtown Memphis...around 11.00 pm took my dog out in the parking lot...there was a dog area but it was dark..but motion lights came on when I entered the area...the next morning at 5.30 am I took my dog out again.... walking over to the dog section the motion lights came on... I thought that was strange since I was about 50 yds in the parking lot...I looked in the dog section and no one was there..but some how intuition came about and I didn't go there...thought maybe some one might of just pulled in with there car... as I walked by I went to the other side of the parking lot...looking for maybe some ones head in a car...but it spooked me ...there was an air conditioning building right in the middle of the dog park...so I didn't go there,,, the motion lights then went off......enough to spook me...when I got back into my room I heard a car alarm go off...my wife woke up and asked me did I set our car off.. I told her no I wasn't near our parked car.. I looked out the window and saw a pickup truck with its lights flashing ..then it stopped...then another set of horns went off..thought it was the same pick up truck...about an hour later I see outside my window 2 Memphis police cars...I guess 2 guys with crow bars smashed 3 pick up trucks drivers side windows in the parking lot...I told the police about the the motion lights going off at 5.30..two of the owners of the pick up trucks were asking did anybody hear the car alarms...I told the police I heard them but I always hear the alarms going off all the time...I guess no one called the receptionist .. I did feel a little guilty at first but those alarms are always going off...they had video of the parking lot..one of the policemen said it was 2 guys with crow bars...I was on the camera coming out of the side door and both guys ran behind the AC unit...which set off the motion lights...damn where I took my dog the night before was right next to the AC unit...my back would of put me about 6 feet from the unit..glad I thought something was fishy..my dog is an 11 yr old cockier spaniel with about 95% hearing loss.... I would of acted quickly if I saw 2 guys hiding with crow bars I would of yelled " down Cujo,don't attack"...but my dogs name is Mambo and he would of gone over and licked them...glad I had enough intuition to stay away from that area...who knows what these guys would of done..
