Den -3.5

The Broncos barely beating two bad teams and Jaguars perception as a good team gives us a chance to lay a small number with the superior home team. The Broncos have dominated their first two opponents in total yards while mistakes and lack of redzone offense have allowed inferior teams a chance to steal wins. These things are easily correctable with a running back ripping off 5 + yards a carry. I actually beleive this leads to a more focused effort by the Broncos this week.

The Jaguars bring a one dimensional offense to mile high and I don't look for that to change going up against an all world secondary. The Jags have yet to get thir running game on track as teams have absolutely no repsect for their passing game and it has showed in the first two games. The Broncos have struggle some vs. the run but the Jags are no threat passing on Denver and they will load the box making it very tough for them to sustain drives.

Defensively the Jags are banged up on the Dline and have struggled to stop the run vs. one dimensional offenses. Now they take to the road after losing Henderson and face a well balanced offense. Look for Denver to roll up another 400+ yards of total offense. Very rarely do you get a chance to lay this small of a number on a home team with +150 total yard advantage. I don't look for a Shanahan team to continure shooting themselves in the foot and struggling in the redzone.

Pit -9.5

A banged up 49ers squad coming off two emotional victories with Seattle on deck invades Pittsburgh. I feel this is a terrbile spot for San Fran as they catch the Steelers firing on all cylinders.

The 9ers have struggled offensively especially in the passing game and this doesn't bode well playing at Pitt. Pitt hasn't allowed a 100 yard rusher at home in a decade or so and this puts this game squarely on the shoulders of Alex Smith. Smith and the 9er passing game looked dreadful against a piss poor Ram secondary. The 9ers have struggled to put up 200 yards of total offense against mediocre defenses and now play against a suffocating unit in the second of a two game road trip. The 9er offense vs. the Steeler defense is probably the mismatch of the week. I wouldn't be surprised to see a shutout.

While the 9er defense is very solid it's asking alot of them to shut down a well balance offense for 4 quarters when they will be on the field alot. I can see them keeping the game respectable for a little while before Pitt pulls away in a blowout.

thought the same thing about DEN game

thought the same thing about DEN game

as jacksonville simply hasnt shown any life on offense. mind you, garrard has played decent--not making mistakes. Must admit am a lil too hyped about denver's defense cuz seeing dre bly AND champ bailey lineup together--you would think they simply load up to stop run and have passing game under control.

that said---something doesnt sit right for me with this game. better luck to you
