BC (+4) over VT LOSER
\Don't tell anyone but BC has been waiting for the hokies to come to Chesnut Hill. See the eagles have one of the best lines on offense in the NCAA but they have not been lighting people up but they could.Last year the Eagles got embarassed and have a lot to play for be4cause this is a postion game in the ACC. The Eagles have gotten the better of the Hokies in the regular season they are 3-2 over VT recently. Now I think the BC rush defense (3rd) is inflated but this team has a good group on defense. They of course are lead by the Linebackers. This is nice because with VT turning to the rush to right the ship the LB for BC can work on controling the play and avoiding the break through. A lot of hope on VT beating ECU, still this team just does not play mean and BC will want this game plus they have always been a tough out at home. They have the LB focused on the run and QB and the secondary is solid enough to defense Taylor in the passing game. I really think a BIG difference in this game is the VT o-line against the VT defense. I do not think VT can control the line and the Eagles will be able to give the QB enough time to throw and the running back big holes. Not a big fan of the BC QB this guy is just not good but give harris the ball and get out of his way. If he can complete a few passes off playaction and continue some drives the running attack, O-line, LB and home crowd might just be enough for the Eagles to get the win. Also I like that this nervous VT team is on the road for the first time this season. BC got ND on deck but they will be ooking at this game as the game for them to decide where they go this year.
Stanford (-4.5) over ND WINNER
Can you say TRAP, I bet you can. ND off two week in a row heart breakers and now they get the offense that is Stanford and it is this low? That is very interesting considering the ND defense is just not getting stops and is leaning on the offense to keep them in games. The ND line has not impressed me and they can look good throwing the ball and running the ball OR they can have a hard time even gaining a yard. Stasnford wants this game. As impressive as Luck has been he has only tosse 15 second half passes. Thats been in part because the O-line for stanford has been very good and the defense has been limiting teams and creating turnovers. The questions is has stanford played the teams of quality? I am not sure they are the best teams but they still are not push overs. Wake and UCLA are alright but I give the edge to ND in teams played. Still this is a big game for Stanford and ND but can ND get the emotion up after the last two weeks? The offense of Stanford, the coaching of stanford and the defense of stanford, the only thing in ND favor is the home field and THE LINE???
UNC (-2) over Rutgers WINNER
Talk about running out of emotion. UNC has just been dealt more and more heart break over the course of the season. Do you wanna know what changes that, an ass kicking of Rutgers. The scarlet knights have not played anyone with this type of defensive speed and they will not be ready for it. UNC has looked at LSU and GT they have played much tougher teams and honestly should have won both of them, but they just missing those super players that would make those few plays difference. Still Rutgers is not healthy at running back and has just not been solid. Scoring low numbers against poor teams makes me think they are just not set up on offense to do big things which is good because UNC has been giving those plays up. But I think this comes down to UNC needing something good, having the better QB and offense, having the faster and stronger defense but do they have the emotional fuel left. I am sure they will have enough to want to get a win this season and they need to get some of those good things back and that means coming out and playing Rutgers like a national championship game and if both teams come to play with full focus then UNC is the more talented and better team.
Boise (-16.5) over Org St
New QB for the beavers means trouble for the beavers. They will use the rodgers brothers but I am sure Boise will be ready for that gameplan. What I love in this game is they are playing their first home game of the season. They are going to be on fire out there. They also know with how VT did againt JMU they have to win and win big over almost every team if they want to be in the big game. The beavers moving into a ranked spot helps Boise. If they smack this team then they would get a little more schedule credit. The points seem like someone is asking for peoiple to take Org St. The split is 50/50 in money played last time I checked. Don't get me wrong Org state has a ton of talent, they have been giant killers before BUT they do not play very well on the road, Boise is not your average away game and they have an unexperienced QB under center. Those are hard things to overcome especially when your defense is not going to shut anyone down. A lot of offense but the Boise offense is more efficent and over time pulls away.
LSU (-up to 20) over WVU
WVU relys on speed and they will not out run LSU. Geno Smith, this guy can throw the ball but if you have watched him he really does n ot like to run and he will be on his heels all day. The field enviorment will be a tough issue for the WVU line to pick up protection and Noel Devine can be contained because the WVU line is not very good. Understand this WVU did not have a sack going into the Maryland game, they have a tough time getting home. This is good because if you have been watching LSU they seem to be getting better week in and out at QB. They have the speed WVU has not seen this season and reflect to the Maryland game the WVU defense is not great in coverage. Yhrow the ball deep and WVU will be exposed in the secondary. You look at LSU and you see they have struggled on offense. Come on they have seen Miss St and UNC not Marshall and Maryland. LSU has a good rushing attack led by Stevan Ridley, who has run for 318 yards, but he is facing a West Virginia defense that is holding opponents to 62.7 rushing yards per game - eighth-best nationally... HAHAHA again Marshall and Maryland and Coastal Carolina!! The fact LSU is running the ball that well against the defenses they have played should spell big trouble for WVU. The Tigers also are riding the longest overall non-conference win streak in the nation, taking 30 in a row since a 2002 season-opening loss at Virginia Tech. I mean I know that WVU has a punchers chance but they just do not match up well at all to me. I think Geno Smith will not be as comfortable in the pocket and you will see the inexperience. That will translate in to having to throw on the run and scramble and he has not been hit and rattled this season. He is not the biggest kid and he should be shaken if LSU dials it up and I think they will. I know WVU has done well in some big games but all in all LSU has the power and the same speed the home field theexperience at QB and have seen the better teams. I can be wrong but I just can't see this one going towards WVU in any aspect.
Cheers
