2. GEORGIA TECH (-17) over Virginia (1 unit)(Thursday)

Tech will want to impress on national TV. They will be fighting at the end of the year to get into a bowl! So, I see them coming out hard!

3. KANSAS STATE (+14) over Louisville (1 unit)

Louisville is coming off perhaps their biggest victory in school history last week against Miami. Kansas State is coming off...well, a victory. Louisville will be a couple spokes short on offense without Brohm and Bush.

4. Colorado/GEORGIA UNDER 36-1/2 (1 unit)

The Buffs road this season is sure to be a long one. New coach, new QB, new offense, no skill players. The only thing they have going for them is a good defense and special teams.

5. MISSOURI (-21-1/2) over Ohio (1 unit)

Missouri had 400 yards total offense to double UNM's output last week. I expect a better game by Daniels in the friendly confines of Columbia. Rutgers pounded Ohio for over 200 yards and averaged 5 yards a carry.

6. Iowa State (+24-1/2) over TEXAS (3 units)

Iowa State finally started to come alive last week against their in-state rivals Iowa. Even though they lost, I think that road game was just what ISU needed in preparation for the beginning of Big 12 play. When Texas' running game is stopped or slowed down and they have to depend on their young QB, he has been prone to mistakes.

7. OKLAHOMA (-28-1/2) over Middle Tennessee State (2 units)

After further review, I hope this OU team has gotten over last week and moved on. They don't face near the offense that they've faced the last 2 weeks. Maryland was able to run a little on MTSU in a 24-10 win, so I think Peterson and company should have some success.

8. KANSAS (-5-1/2) over South Florida (2 units)

I saw some signs last week that Kansas is starting to find themselves. Meier is looking much more comfortable at QB, but he needs to cut down on mistakes. South Florida really hasn't played anybody yet.

9. NEBRASKA (-23) over Troy (1 unit)

Nebraska showed a good defensive effort against USC last week. Fortunately, the Huskers are playing against a war torn team this week. This is Troy's third straight road contest against the big boys.

10. Army (+10-1/2) over BAYLOR (1 unit)

Army gets to come to Texas for a second week in a row to tackle the big boys. Army recruits heavily from this state, so each trip is an emotional one for the Army players. Baylor is back from a close loss to Washington State.

11. Oklahoma State/HOUSTON OVER 56 (1 unit)

Houston was tested on defense in their first game with Rice. They came from 30-14 down to win that game. OSU's young secondary will definitely get tested in this game.

One final play to go with my OkSt@Hou total. This brings my total weekend to 14 plays (a lucky 13 on Saturday).

14. Oklahoma State +1 over HOUSTON (3 units)

Posters here know I like to only risk 1 unit on most games, but I'm all over Oklahoma State @ +1. My bet is actually a 3-unit play. It's 2 teams that haven't played anyone, imo. The safety (and last year's leading tackler) is out for the Cougs as well. Look for OK St. to have some play action big plays after the run game is established.
