Thanks for the luck lads... appreciated!

Louisville (-3) over UConn 2nd half
No QB, Louiville really only hurting themselves yet still leading by 4. Gonna have to think the defense keys Brown even more and the cards continue to hit that soft zone with the short pass.

Just wondering why if Cantwell was unable to drop back and plant why keep him in. That just hurts his own team???

Cincy (-10.5) over Akron
Quietly the bearcats are a vry good football team. Not only did they go to Oklahoma and give them a run but they have enough offense and defense that when conference play starts they have a shot at making noise. Akron has two soft wins aginst Cuse and Army but got blown out in its games against Ball St and Wiscky. I think the Cincy passing attack will be too much for Akron and the bearcats move the ball regardless of Grutza or Pike at QB. The Cincy defense should be able to get to the Akron QB and force the tempo and Akron will make mistakes. The ziips are a good team but Cincy is better, they believe in the coaches system and have enough talent to do what they want against the Zips.

Okla St (-17.5) over Troy
At home, off a bye Okla St should be up and ready to hammer a troy team that was beaten by Ohio St in a game where the attention was elsewhere. This week Oklahoma State will be focused and ready considering Troy beat the cowboys last season! The offensive line is far too big for Troy to get pressure and Okla St's offense will be able to run and pass at ease. Troys best rusher is out this game and they were torched by Fresh Proyer last week, Robinson will pass and run on this defense. Kendal Hunter has come into the scene and he will be huge on the screen and misdirection. Troy is overly aggressive and will get burned by Okla St's run. That o-line and abilty to change direction will be too much. Every team that was behind USC should look to add points to get some of the standings points. The cowboys will be solid on offense and the Defense will need to make some plays and feed off the crowd energy to make stops and get the high powered offense back on the field. Turn this game into a track meet and leave Troy at the starting line.

UNC (+7.5) over Miami
Miami has the defense but UNC has seen that speed last week against Tech. UNC has played some tough games and are going to be ready for Miami who really has only been tested once and failed that test. Heels defense has shown they are nothing to be taken lightly and they will show the freshman QB different looks and confise his reads. The running game needs to make strides to keep the ball away from Miami and Tate needs to make some big plays. Paulus is a new QB and made a huge mistake last weekend with a pick late but he is good enough to pass on Miami's secondary if he gets a little time. He does not have the wheels Yates did but he will need to realize when to tuck it and run because Miami will bring the heat and he can scramble to keep drives alive. Moving the pocket around will buy time for Tate and Nicks to get open. This will be a defensive battle and I for one will take a TD considering UNC has seen tough teams and Maimis win over A&M did not impress me enough to back them.

TCU (+18.5) over Oklahoma
Have to take this because TCU has been known to fight and fight hard in these games. They have the offense to score and even though the sooners are tough at home I like to see the horned frogs pass and run keep the balance shifted in the purples favor. TCU is 5-1 against the big 12. They have a strong legged young kicker. I mean you are looking at a team with nothing to lose against a team that now has all the pressure with USC losing. I like teams to run it up this week if they can but I think the horned frogs have enough offense to avoid a woodshed beating. Keeping it close with a tight Oklahoma team that has the pressure. Horned frogs cannot get too far behind, stay within the number by playing good field position and making plays when they can with that spread offense.

Smaller plays
WVU (-15) over Marshall
Everything points to the herd except talent. This is a rivalry, Marshall has revenge for WVU, who is down this year. But this is a statement game for WVU... feed Devine and for god sakes Pat White THROW the ball down field. You would be amazed the space it creates without seeing 9 in the box.

FSU (-5.5) over Col
FSU has the defense to shut down Col's running game and they can manage a couple scores against the Buffs. The buffs live and die by the run, they have freshman running backs behind a good line but FSU has the speed to stop them. Need the Nols to score which they could not do against Wake.

Purdue (ML) over ND
It's over for the irish... cutting your hair will not make you a better QB, ask Vick and David Carr. Painter is a better QB and sheets will run wild. This team was on top of oregon and ND has not impressed me with the 100th plus ranked rushing offense, a poor passing game and overrated defense.

Wanted to get in my late night play before I get too hammered, well I am already hammered but here it comes,....
Wash (-3) over Stan
Locker.... he needs to have a big game. This Washington team fought a tough BYU team at home and should have the answer for Stanfords great white hope at running back. Shut him down and shadow him on every route and the huskies should have no problem stopping what Stanford is trying to do on offense. Locker should be able to scramble all night against this team. Wash is a tough place to play and they need to show up at home in this PAC 10 match up.

I like playing teams that have their QB's hurt during the game... cincy and now Washington.

Hawaii (-3) over SJS
I know the rainbows are not great but they have the home field and the time difference.
