Slim the bartender does not appear to be worried about performance so far. He is a great guy and a pretty shrewd bookmaker. He will post odds on anything. He once bet that Junior the greek couldn't eat a Big Mac and a dozen hot wings everyday for a month at the bar. The Greek ways about 3 and a quarter and was willing to bet a grand that he could against slims 4 to 1 odds. The Greek started off strong for the first week. It looked like it was going to be easy money for him. By the end of the second week the Greek started losing Steam. It seemed he was having some trouble getting this meal down his big fat throat. The third week came and on day 19 Slim offered the Greek a settlement.$ 500 bucks and it could be all over. The Greek let pride and greed get in the way and kept the bet in force. On day 23 the Greek was rushed from the bar to to the hospital with some type of chest pain. It turned out to be an inflamed gall bladder. Just to show what a fair guy he was Slim sent me over to the hospital the next night with the Big Mac and wings so the greek could honor his bet. I didn't even have a chance to unpack the bag before the smell made the Greek puke all over himself. 5 days later the Greek came in and paid Slim off.
