Cutting right to the chase by playing the biggest game on the board between 2 powerhouse programs.
1-3 Akron at 0-4 Bowling Green.
Some musings....
Terry Bowden is 0-5 vs BG and Akron has lost this game at least 7-8 years straight.
The Zips are coming off a really tough trip to Troy St in a game they may well have won had they not been called for a holding penalty seemingly on every big offensive play. Tough to bounce right back again on the road.
The Zips are missing a couple key guys on defense, both in concussion protocol.
A self proclaimed wise man once told me never lay points with a bad team and never, ever do it on the road.
That same self proclaimed wise man later shot his left foot off in a hunting accident so I must reconsider just how wise he really is ??? (true story)
So the play is obviously :
Akron -2' for 3 units.
BG is dreadful and can not run the ball a lick. Akron D can sit on the pass all day from a freshman making his second start. if the Zips play a clean game, they win.
