I've been impressed with Mr. Brooks this year, but he has the toughest task in his coaching career in front of him right now. The program is not used to winning, and no matter what they say it is in the back of every one of those kids' heads that they are being viewed as the same ol' Cats right now.

If he can keep these kids confident and win a few more games, he deserve to be in Coach of the Year running.

If he fails at this, the Florida and LSU games are going to be as ugly as they get because the kids will have a hard time staying focused on the task at hand.

I think the 'kids' believe okay...it's just what us older guys know and especially us Ky fans have had to endure over the years with what seemed like endless poor to average play for the most part and never really finding a way to win. That started to change last year after they were manhandled by LSU...I was at the game and believe me it was ugly...of course the schedule got a little easier after LSU also.

But I think Ky still has a very good team and is still underestimated by many...including myself. Their MAIN problem this year is the schedule...mainly because they catch both LSU and Florida at home home along with their long time nemeises Tennessee. Then they have (had) to go on the road and play S Carolina & Georgia. And Miss St and Vandy won't be any pushovers. So there are no even close to guaranteed wins left...I figured before the season they would be better than last year but could end up having a worse record because of the way the schedule was set. But there is still a lot of football left and nothing is guaranteed for anybody...even for LSU...as strong as they are.

As a sidenote, I was born and raised bleeding blue. Just decided to go out of state for school.

I am a big blue fan all year except for 3 days (plus any post-season meetings).

Vols are rolling. I am going to place every cent I am up today at gametime on LSU. I would not recommend this as a play for anyone. GL:weed:
