Joe, how frustrating is your team right now? I say that because you're D, which use to be your coaches calling card, is now costing you games. Why is that? Why is it that you can take a great defensive coach like Patterson and then when he gets in the Big 12 you just can't hold offenses down. I will say the same thing for UT and Strong. If Strong should have anything it's a good defense. He's recruited STUDS on that side of the ball but they can't stop anyone. I know I can't say anything because Tech is the worst but to me it's just crazy.

Well, it's really been the last two years. The first two years the defense kept games close, but the offense couldn't score. Most games were lost by 7 or less points. There are no senior leaders in defense now and it shows. Lots of missed assignments and bad tackling. If it happens again next year then I will say everyone has figured out how to beat the 4-2-5 and it's time to change.
